It appears that The Real Housewives of Orange County is getting a major cast shakeup for the show’s upcoming new season.
Dr. Jen Armstrong and Noella Bergener, who joined the show last season, confirmed that they will not return for Season 17.
Armstrong shared the news of her exit via her own Instagram page on Friday, July 8. “I loved opening up about being a working mom on Real Housewives of Orange County. I am so grateful to have had the privilege to talk about my father, my kids, and a real modern relationship on national television. My family and my work are the most important aspects of my life, so I am stepping away from RHOC and focusing on them 🙏♥️🖤🍊💉,” she wrote.
“I am forever grateful for the friends I made, and the lovely people at @bravo & @evolutionmedia. Here’s to the next chapter, and I hope you’ll follow along for the journey. There are so many exciting things to come, so stay tuned ♥️🖤🍊💉,” she concluded the post.
“Thank you to everyone who has reached out in support- especially from the working moms,” she continued. “Women can really have it all if you work for it. I believe in you, and I’ll still be here to chat about it with you ♥️♥️ I love inspiring people to be their best.”
Meanwhile, Bergener confirmed the news via her Instagram Story on Friday, July 8.
“After a wild season of ups and downs, I will not be returning to The Real Housewives of Orange County,” she wrote. “Thank you to all of the fans for all of the love and support during quite possibly the hardest year of my life. I am looking forward to brighter skies ahead and can’t wait to share what’s next.”
Armstrong and Bergener both joined the series last season. Armstrong dealt with marriage issues in her first season. After the season ended, it was reported that she filed for divorce from her husband Ryne Holliday earlier in June. They are the parents of three children, ten-year-old twins Cece and Vince and nine-year-old Valor Robert.
As for Noella, Bergener found herself in the middle of a messy divorce, which played out on RHOC. She also shared on the show that she lost her father.
The news comes just a week after Radar Online reported that former RHOC stars Tamra Judge and Alexis Bellino were in talks to return to the series. The outlet claimed at the time that Armstrong was out while Bergener was demoted to a friend. The site also shared that Heather Dubrow and Shannon Beador were the only stars confirmed to return to the show.
As for Emily Simpson and Gina Kirschenheiter, insiders reveal that the two ladies, who joined the show back in Season 13, maybe demoted for Season 17.
