RHOCheshire Star Dawn Ward Defends Her Daughter Taylor Ward’s ‘Social Media Influencer’ Career!

Dawn Ward is coming to her daughter's defense in a recent appearance on This Morning. The Real Housewives of Cheshire star appeared on the morning talk show to discuss whether Instagram's new tool to hide likes is a positive step.

Dawn's daughter, Taylor, who gave up her career in fashion in order to become a social media influencer says that the social media platform's new policy would negatively affect her business.

"For me, I work with a lot of clothing brands and they'll look on my profile and they'll look which of my posts get the most engagement," she told host Brian Shepherd, according to Manchester Evening News. "So I think by taking that away, people are not going to know what works so well on my feeds."

But the debate got heated when Vanessa Feltz, a self-confessed 'technophone' hit back saying Instagram is not a 'professional' job.

Dawn fired back in her daughter's defense, saying: "It's not your job. You're a broadcaster, I'm a reality star. I am showing my life."

However, viewers slammed the guests and accused them of taking over each other during the heated debate.

"I feel uncomfortable watching this.. talking over Vanessa constantly! awful," one viewer tweeted.

Another said: "Stop talking over each other fgs #ThisMorning."

A third commented: "Who's the woman who keeps talking over everyone? #ThisMorning."

Instagram's trial, which was rolled out in seven different countries, including Ireland, Australia and Italy, aims to remove 'pressure' from its users and encourage them to focus on 'sharing the things' they enjoy, without fear of judgement, according to Manchester Evening News. Instagram users will be able to still view the number of likes their own posts receive but the public will only see "and others" below posts.
