The Real Housewives Of Dallas Will Not Return For Season 6 In 2022; Bravo Says There’s “No Plans To Bring” Back The Reality Series And “Nothing Official Has Been Decided”

The future of The Real Housewives of Dallas is unclear at this time as the series has been put on hold.

The Bravo hit reality series will not returning for a sixth season in 2022, Bravo confirmed the news on Tuesday, August 17, 2021.

“There are currently no plans to bring The Real Housewives of Dallas back next year, and beyond that nothing official has been decided,” Bravo shared in a statement to E! News.

Although the reality series has no plans to film more episodes at this time, the show has not been canceled and is instead on an indefinite hiatus.

Season five of RHOD concluded back in May 2021 and starred Brandi Redmond, Stephanie Hollman, Kary Brittingham, D’Andra Simmons, Kameron Westcott, and newest Housewife Dr. Tiffany Moon.

In recent months, the series faced multiple rumors about a potential cast shakeup for Season 6. Multiple sources via social media claimed that Brandi, Stephanie, Kary, and friend Jennifer Davis Long were not returning to the series.

Instead, they were being replaced by rumored newbies Madelaine Lam, Mahisha Dellinger, and Lizzy Savetsky as they joining returning cast members D’Andra, Kameron, and Tiffany.

The network confirmed that the series hasn’t officially been cancelled, however, the series future is uncertain at this time. Much like with what happened when The Real Housewives of Miami went off the air in 2013 after three seasons before being revived by Peacock last year.

RHOD was first announced in 2015 as the ninth installment in Bravo’s Real Housewives franchise. Season one premiered the following year, starring Hollman and Redmond, Cary Deuber, Tiffany Hendra, and LeeAnn Locken. Marie Reyes rounded out the cast as the official ‘friend’ of the series.

Hendra and Reyes left the show after one season and Simmons and Westcott joined in Season 2. After three seasons Deuber left the show and Brittingham joined the series in Season 4. Moon, along with ‘friend’ Jennifer Davis joined the series last season following Locken’s departure.
