LaToya Ali broke her silence and revealed the alleged reason why she and her estranged husband, Adam Ali, decided to end their marriage.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star took to her YouTube channel to set the record straight while making some shocking allegations against Adam.
“Every time I would try to leave, he would always scare me into staying. ‘Look what we’ve built together, we have these beautiful children, our fans look up to us.'”
The Canadian YouTuber also shared an instance where he allegedly physically assaulted her.
“He grabbed my legs and pulled me, like drug me off the bed," she alleged of the incident. "He picked me up, shoved me against the wall and he started to choke me. And the kids ran into the room. They started crying, you know, they were saying, 'Daddy, take your hands off Mommy! What are you doing? You're hurting Mommy!' And then he took my phone, he smashed it. And at this point, I was so scared. I was terrified. I literally thought I was going to die that day.”
She claimed she then ran out of their house and sought help from neighbors. That's when she called her aunt and not the cops because “I would never call the police on a Black man,” she said, according to Radar Online.
LaToya also claimed Adam “purposely got me pregnant” with their last child, daughter Ayah, as a way to keep her in the marriage since she claims she had previously threatened divorce. “I was trying to leave, and I ended up pregnant. He knows my weakness is alcohol,” said LaToya. “We got extremely drunk with our friends. I completely blacked out. And I woke up the next morning, and I didn't even know if I had sex or not at all.”
The influencer turned reality star said he once put a restraining order against her that forced her to leave the home because he was “fearful for his life.”
The Bravo reality star then shared screenshots of text messages that appear to be from him.
The first message reads, “U better be very careful. I defended you on this video that’s coming out. Don’t forget you’re doing things. You won’t recover if I really say what happens.”
Adam Ali, who shares three children with LaToya, follows up with accusations against her.
“Trey, Six, Trini artist, Trackers, Bee, Putting kids in harms way, Gun, Tpo, Your mother”
He continued, “Remember I have you attacking me for twenty mins… You will lose RHOA 100%%… Let us not forget what transpired in the church too. Youre [sic] ruth is delusional and a lie. Ya lack the ability to take any ownership. Just running around. I’ll simply follow up and put it to rest. I overly defended you in this video coming out but talk your s***”
The alleged texts continued with “You’re looking for validation when you should be living your honest life. You can’t even do that. It’s sad as f***! Getting yourself a Rollie and then attributing it to him. Save the lie cause I’ll just expose it if need be. Watch the interview goofy. U can’t dead anything Cause you’re in a delusional LIE.”
He added, “Go ahead and Drop the video. Mad cause I did a soft a** interview when y’all stay paper cutting me and talking s***.”
According to the The Jasmine Brand, the father-of-three is referencing LaToya's trainer and rumored boyfriend Von Rhé.
“Dude don’t even know me and been talking s***. F*** him and tell him to come outside. Expose his skeletons too. My follow up video will be the creme.”
LaToya then accuses her estranged husband of hacking into her YouTube account and deleting her videos where she allegedly exposed Adam's alleged abuse. The mother-of-three later uploaded the videos to the YouTube channel she shares with Von Rhé.
She ended by accusing her estranged husband of sharing a private video of her that sparked accusations that she’s a colorist. LaToya also said Adam hacked into her social media accounts and cell phone, allegedly recording her private conversations.
“Adam is the one that made my story time video of me allegedly being a “coloist” PUBLIC after I put my story times on private. He wants to sabotage and destroy everything I have worked hard for,” she wrote via her Instagram Story, according to The Jasmine Brand.
“He hacks my accounts, my phones, my icloud and records private conversations to try to hold against me. I’m so happy that I’m free from this abuse.”
Meanwhile, Adam took to his Instagram Stories to respond to LaToya's claims. He claims she got upset with him because he rejected her advances. He then told his followers that he was going to share his side of the story in an upcoming livestream.
He continued, “She wishes I was a deadbeat dad. Will never happen!! And She’s MAD because I declined all her advances at me. We are not equally yoked. YES, my soul IS NOT for sale!”
He added, “Of course I’ll address all the disturbing thing she has said on a livestream later today.”
On Monday, Adam took to his own social media to address the abuse allegations made by his estranged wife.
Adam responded to LaToya's claims that he choked her and physically abused her. According to Adam, the RHOA star came cheated on him as she went on a trip with her alleged lover.
Adam claims that LaToya came home from her trip and laid on their bed, which he said infuriated him given what he claimed to know about what she had just done. He said he raised his voice, shouted things like “get the f--k out of here” and admitted there was some “hustle and tussle.”
However, “I never striked her,” he told the camera. “I never put my hand on her. Was she probably scared? Yeah, she probably was. … I never striked you. I never hit you or anything of that nature.”
Adam added that he has a 20-minute video of LaToya “attacking” him in front of her mother and assistant and that LaToya knows this alleged video exists.
The father-of-three also denied allegations that he raped her. “That was the one thing from yesterday that was unbelievable. This is what gaslighting is.” Adam believes his ex-wife is addicted to fame and claims she gets $1,000 per episode of the Bravo series, according to a report by Radar Online.
Adam accused LaToya of putting an expensive GPS tracking device on his car and buying a gun. LaToya believes that's what led to Adam getting a restraining order against her. They both claim to have threatened each other with divorce. Adam believes his estranged wife is “belligerent” when it comes to her alcohol intake and has managed to ruin all her relationships with family and friends.
Meanwhile, LaToya shared multiple screenshots via her Instagram Stories from her fans, showing her love and support after sharing claims she made about her estranged husband.
The mother-of-three then had a message to all bloggers. She wrote, “Dear Bloggers my name is LaToya Howard.”
In three separate posts, she wrote, “LaToya” in one post, “Howard” in another, and added a “!” in the third post.
