Nicole Sealey recently revealed that she suffered partial paralysis of her arm for two years before she made her debut on The Real Housewives of Cheshire.
“I paralyzed my arm seven years ago,” she told OK! UK. “I caught it in a gate. It got trapped and I crushed the radial nerve. It was paralyzed for two years. I don’t have complete movement, but I was lucky it repaired. It was a shock!”
She continued, “When it happened they couldn’t tell me if I was fully going to get it back, so I feel very lucky. I’m sure that with working out it’s only going to improve.”
Sealey then shared that she had a recent cancer scare. Sealey has revealed she had a recent scare that her cancer had returned after 21 years.
At the young age of 25, Sealey was diagnosed with Choriocarcinoma while raising her first child Luka.
“I've actually just recently had a little bit of a scare with it again,” she told OK! UK. “This is the first time in years that I've actually even had to think about the possibility that it might've come back. But luckily it looks like it hasn't, so that's great.”
She went on to explain that she believes most people instinctively know when something isn't right within them. “Initially I didn't think it was a possibility then it obviously was. I think deep down you always know. I didn't think there was anything like that from the beginning.”
“If you speak to a lot of people who have had cancer or an illness there's something in you that tells you if something isn't right.”
Sealey noted that she was lucky to learn that she didn't have cancer, she explained that the word no longer has power over her.
“Even when you find out, I know it's a bit of a bizarre thing to say, but everyone is really scared and I understand probably because I have had it the word 'cancer' doesn't scare me. I think there are so many amazing things that can be done. So even if it had been, you deal with it. So you crack it and get it cured because I did before,” she explained. “I've got really terrible veins so my worst fear would actually be physically having the chemo, not even the illness because my veins are so rubbish.”
As for the new seasons of RHOCheshire, Nicole added that she will miss Dawn Ward on the show. “I’ll miss filming with Dawn. We get on really well. I think it was a difficult season for her and there was a lot going on. She’s been great for the show.”
