Kenya Moore is sharing an update on divorce drama with estranged husband Marc Daly following this week's episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
If you recall, Kenya met with her lawyer to talk about the next steps in her situation with Marc, which included filing for custody of their daughter, Brooklyn Daly during the February 28 episode of the Bravo hit reality series. She noted that she didn't know what their relationship status was “because right now we haven't discussed anything about where our relationship is going.”
“We have been apart, but at the same time the issue with Brooklyn is immediate,” Kenya said in an interview in the episode, according to Bravo's The Daily Dish. The former Miss USA also revealed that around that time, Daly had made her a romantic mixtape that she felt summed up his feelings for her.
But Kenya found out that her estranged husband had filed for divorce in New York that same week as the meeting with her lawyer featured in the episode.
Moore then took to Twitter to clarify Daly filing for divorce. She tweeted, “For the record: Marc withdrew the divorce petition the next day and said that he was not asking for alimony in the filing and that we misinterpreted NY law. There has been no further divorce action to date. This scene was taped months ago.” She added, “It's complicated.”
In January 2021, Moore and Daly called it quits more than a year after announcing their first breakup.
“After recently attending mediation, Kenya and I have agreed to end our marriage,” Daly said in a statement to The Root on Saturday, January 23. “I will always have great care for her and look forward to amicably continuing to co-parent our daughter Brooklyn with an abundance of love and wisdom.”
Moore and Daly tied the knot in “a romantic” and intimate St. Lucia ceremony in June 2017 and immediately got to work at starting a family.
They eventually turned to in vitro fertilization for help, Moore announced that she was pregnant with her first child back in March while taping the RHOA season 10 reunion. In November 2018, the couple welcomed their daughter Brooklyn and split the following September.
