Bethenny Frankel confirmed the rumors that she and her ex-boyfriend, Paul Bernon, are back together. The Real Housewives of New York City alum confirmed the news via an Instagram post.
Frankel shared a selfie with Bernon standing behind her on Valentine's Day, which she captioned, “Behind every woman… (you fill in the blanks here.) Happy Valentine’s Day xoxo #Loveyourself.”
The pair were spotted together in Miami in early January and were later photographed holding hands in his hometown of Boston.
On October 12, 2020, it was reported courtesy via Us Weekly that the pair called it quits. The two began dating Bernon in October 2018. The two were first spotted packing on PDA in Boston, roughly two months after her on-off boyfriend Dennis Shields died in August 2018.
In July 2019, the former Skinnygirl mogul described how the pair’s romance allowed her to feel “happy in a way that’s different” than she had experienced before. “Not a high or a low, just a balance — which, if you know my personality at all, it’s not often that balanced,” she admitted on Live With Kelly and Ryan at the time. “But I feel just balanced and healthy.”
Frankel was previously married to Peter Sussman from 1996 to 1997. The businesswoman shares her 10-year-old daughter, Bryn, with estranged husband Jason Hoppy. The pair tied the knot in 2010, and they announced their split in 2012 after nearly three years of marriage.
However, she’s actually still married to Hoppy. Bethenny filed for divorce from Hoppy at the start of 2013 and it was confirmed as settled in 2016. However, “Jason and Bethenny are still technically married,” Hoppy's attorney Robert Wallack told E! News.
“The judgment was never issued because an order of protection was issued by the Criminal Court which impacted the previously agreed to joint custody arrangement and Frankel subsequently brought an application to modify the agreement (which gave rise to a multi-day hearing),” Judge Michael Katz told E! News through a court representative.
Frankel revealed during a September 2020 appearance on WWHL that she and Hoppy were still married. “I’m still married,” she told the host when he asked if she was considering getting married. “Crickets again! And scene.”
