Kyle Richards Reveals She And Daughter Sophia Tested Positive For COVID!

Kyle Richards confirmed that she and her daughter Sophia have tested positive for COVID-19 as The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills temporarily suspended production.

The Bravo reality star announced the news via Instagram on Saturday, December 5, alongside her family’s latest Christmas portrait. Richards and her husband, Mauricio Umansky, share four daughters Farrah (32), Alexia (24), Sophia (20), and Portia (12).

“I love these people so much  Some of you may have heard I have COVID. I got it after these photos were taken,” Richards wrote. “Since I was diagnosed I have been separated from my family in order to keep them healthy. Unfortunately, Sophia also got it. We will stay in isolation until it’s safe to see the family and others again. I can’t wait to hug them.”

The news comes after it was reported last week that RHOBH paused filming for the show’s upcoming eleventh season after a member of the production team tested positive for COVID-19, reported Entertainment Tonight.

In the meantime, the cast and crew are following all proper safety protocols. Production on the current season is set to resume after the holiday.

Meanwhile, other sources are sharing more details on the topic. “RHOBH was shut down due to COVID. Everyone thinks it’s a crew member that tested positive and the ladies and production were informed this morning,” a source told HollywoodLife at that time.

“They filmed yesterday. Everyone’s been told to quarantine for 14 days and haven’t been told much else right now,” the source explained, referencing the CDC’s recommended two-week quarantine period for those who have either tested positive for or been exposed to the deadly virus. “They have no idea when they’ll start up again. Everyone’s just waiting for more info,” the source added.
