Andy Cohen Comments On Jax Taylor And Brittany Cartwright’s ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Exit!

Andy Cohen reacted to Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s Vanderpump Rules exit days after the couple announced they would not be returning next season.

“I gotta talk about Jax and Brittany. I just have to say, I have to give it up to them,” Cohen, 52, said on the Monday, December 7, episode of his SiriusXM Radio Andy show, according to Us Weekly. “Have you seen a run on a — specifically Jax — like, Jax created so much story, drama, conversation in his eight years on that show. That’s quite a run that he had.”

Cohen continued, “He will go down as one of the biggest, you know, reality stars in their moment, don’t you think? That was an incredible run that they had.”

Cohen also explained that no matter how bad the drama Taylor was facing on the show over the years, Jax always appeared professional on his talk show, Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.

“One thing that I always, always appreciated about Jax is, man, every time he came to Watch What Happens Live, he was always in the middle of some s–t storm on the show and we just would roast him mercilessly,” he said. “And he always took it like a man. He was a good sport.”

Cohen added, “He would come on Watch What Happens Live and he would be, like, ‘How mean are you going to be to me today?’ And I would be like, ‘It’s bad.’ There was always stuff that we were confronting him about and he took it.”

Taylor and Brittany Cartwright confirmed their exit from the Bravo hit reality series on Friday, Dec. 4, in separate Instagram posts.

“The last 8 years on Vanderpump Rules have been some of the most challenging, rewarding and fulfilling years of my life,” Taylor wrote while sharing several throwback photos from his time on the show.

“Although this is difficult to share, Brittany and I will not be returning for another season of Vanderpump Rules. We are excited to take this time to focus on our growing family and share with you our new endeavors,” he continued. “@bravotv, @evolutionusa and our Vanderpump castmates will always remain close to our hearts. Thank you to all the fans who have shared our journey with us and supported us through everything. We love you."

“Stay tuned, We can’t wait for to share what we have planned,” he concluded. “Have a great weekend. 💟”

Cartwright shared the same note in her own Instagram post, also sharing several throwback photos, including some snapshots from their wedding, according to PEOPLE.

“The last 5 years on Vanderpump Rules have been some of the most challenging, rewarding and fulfilling years of my life. Although this is difficult to share, Jax and I will not be returning for another season of Vanderpump Rules.”

She continued, “We are excited to take this time to focus on our growing family and share with you our new endeavors. @bravotv, @evolutionusa and our Vanderpump castmates will always remain close to our hearts.”

She added, “Thank you to all the fans who have shared our journey with us and supported us through everything. We love you. Stay tuned ♥️”
The couple's departure comes after former Vanderpump Rules stars Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens, and Brett Caprioni were fired in June.

Schroeder and Doute were fired for accusing former co-star Faith Stowers of being a woman wanted by the police with Schroeder admitting she called the authorities on Stowers. Schroeder and Doute have both issued public apologies for their past racially insensitive actions towards Stowers.

Boyens and Caprioni were fired after old racist and homophobic tweets resurfaced last winter.
