Vanderpump Rules Is Still On Hold And No Date Has Been Set When Production Will Resume; “There Is No Timeline For The Show’s Return,” Sources Say!

E! News reports that filming for Vanderpump Rules is still on hold and no date has been set for when the cast will resume production. “There is now no timeline for the show’s return,” a source revealed.

The insider continued, “With so many uncertainties during the COVID pandemic, showrunners are telling the crew that the show has not been cancelled, but the upcoming season is currently on hold, and asking them to please sit tight until the future is more clear.”

The Bravo hit reality series has always filmed during the summertime, but production was unable to begin season nine as Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurants were forced to close due to the coronavirus pandemic. SUR and PUMP have since reopened.

If you recall Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Brett Caprioni, and Max Boyens were fired from the Bravo hit reality series in June after their racially insensitive remarks from their past resurfaced.

Bravo, meanwhile, has yet to announce official plans for season 9 of Vanderpump Rules. Katie Maloney confirmed last month that she hasn’t gotten a call from the network yet.

“They haven’t canceled it, so there’s hope still. At least there’s not, like, anything definitive in that regard,” she told Entertainment Tonight on September 10. “I try to picture [the show without Stassi and Kristen] and think about it, and it’s so weird … It’s definitely gonna feel different and look different, but it’s not like they’re not a part of my life, you know? So, it’s gonna be weird to have this part of my life that was very much on the show not on the show anymore.”
