Tori Spelling Reveals Why She Won’t Join ‘The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills’; Says “I’ll Stick To Being A Viewer”

Tori Spelling reveals the reason why she won't join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Spelling reacts and shuts down the rumors that she was set to join the Bravo hit reality series alongside her mom, Candy Spelling.

“There's rumors every single season,” Spelling told Entertainment Tonight. “I don't even know where they come from. I've always said I'm a huge fan. Jen knows I'm a huge fan. I watch all the Housewives -- I love it! It's my entertainment.”

“We work hard, we mom hard and at the end of the night I'm like, ‘I'm putting on my Housewives,’” Spelling continued. “[But] no clue where [the rumor] came from.”

Spelling joked that even if she wished to join the Bravo reality show, her bestie and Beverly Hills 90210 co-star Jennie Garth wouldn’t let her.

“It's not up to me!” Garth, who was also in the interview, chimed in.

“We have so many projects that we want to do on camera and off camera,” Spelling explained. “We're really good producing partners as well, so we have so many exciting things lined up that I'll stick to being a viewer.”

Garth, too, won’t be considering the show, admitting it’s “not my jam.”

Last month it was reported that Spelling was set to join the Bravo hit reality series as a “friend” for season 11.

“Tori Spelling is doing Beverly Hills’ Housewives with her mom, Candy. People who have followed Tori know her relationship with her mom has been contentious for many years. Kathy Hilton – Kyle Richards‘ and Kim Richards‘ sister- is also expected to join, and she has some issues with Candy as well. Tori is expected to join in a similar vein to Kathy – specifically as a friend of the Housewives. Tori is also expected to come on as Kyle’s friend,” a source told CELEB at that time.

However, Entertainment Tonight correspondent Brice Sanders shut down the rumors. “Because I keep seeing account after account post: Tori Spelling is NOT joining #RHOBH, crushing all of our dreams of her visiting the hibachi grill where the fall happened with Dorit,” he tweeted.

He added, “I think they're going to take a break from actresses-as-Housewives for a bit. The other casting rumors seem to be a return to the original theme, un-famous women with money.”
