Heather Dubrow’s Husband Dr. Terry Dubrow Reveals How His Family Supported Daughter Max Durbow After She Came Out As Bisexual!

Dr. Terry Dubrow reveals how his family and wife, Real Housewives of Orange County alum Heather Dubrow, are supporting 16-year-old daughter Max after she came out as bisexual.

“And I was really proud that it’s sort of, not to make it about Heather and I, but it’s kind of reflected on us in a way that most — a lot of people aren’t comfortable coming out till way later in life and they have to hide it and make excuses or not be comfortable, not live their real self and she felt good enough unsecured enough to say, ‘This is who I am and let’s talk about it.’ So I loved it,” Dubrow told Page Six.

He added that Max is starting a podcast, “I’ll Tell It To You Straightish with Max Dubrow,” to talk to with teenagers about their experiences. He also shared that he is open to appearing on his daughter's podcast.

He laughed, “I mean we dragged her on ‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ [when Heather was on it]. I put her on ‘Botched.’ I think she made a couple of appearances when I did ‘The Swan,’ so I mean the least I could do is go on her podcast if she wants me!”

Terry then opened up about his relationship with Max: “She’s the one who’s very much got my genetic material both in terms of things she likes in school and sarcasm. She’s a little mini Terry, but I’m so proud of her.”

Dubrow then revealed his other three children, Nicholas (16), Katarina (13), and Coco (9), are showing their support of Max.

“So my son … with Nicky, I would always — in case he was gay I wanted to make sure he felt comfortable being gay. So we always used to say, ‘And Nicky, if you decide you like boys’ and he goes, ‘Yeah, I know. I know if I decide I like boys it’s normal, it’s cool blah, blah, blah.’ So when Max came out I looked and Nicky and he goes, ‘Yeah, I know. I’m not gay and if I were gay I’d talk about it. So leave me alone.'”

He told Page Six that Kat has been working to support LGBTQ causes since Max’s coming out, and that Coco “was like, ‘I don’t care. Cool. Who cares?’ Like, it’s so normal to her it’s not even worth talking about it. It’s like talking about what flavor of ice cream you like!”
