Dorinda Medley Reportedly Fired From The Real Housewives Of New York City — Find Out Why!

According to Page Six,  Dorinda Medley was fired from The Real Housewives of New York City because she’d become a “mean drunk” on the show.

The source clarifies  that Medley would become mean when drunk, not that she had become “a drunk.”

The outlet claims that Medley was “blindsided” by the news that she’d been dropped by the Bravo show after six seasons. She’d been filming an episode of ABC’s “The $100,000 Pyramid” when she got the call.

Meanwhile, sources reveal that Medley failed to surprised her co-stars by acknowledging that she been overstepping the line.

“If she’d have said [at the end of the season], ‘Look — I’ve been depressed and that’s why I’m acting like this,’ or, ‘I miss my [husband, Richard, who died in 2011],’ and said she’d work on it, I think it would have been different,” a source told Page Six.

She’d become “a mean drunk,” said the insider. “That’s just not where they want the show to go.”

The source said execs didn’t want another season of Medley’s abrasive behavior and decided to look for a new co-star instead.

Another added, “In this climate of social justice and cancel culture, she was not a good representative of the show or the network.”

On Tuesday, August 25, Dorinda announced that she was leaving RHONY after six seasons. "What a journey this has been. I have laughed and cried and tried to Make it Nice..."

"But all things must come to an end. This was a great outlet for me to heal when my late husband Richard passed away," she continued. "I have met so many interesting people and learned so much about myself, about life and about women along the way."

She continued, "Thank you to Bravo and NBC for the incredible ride and to my cast mates for constant stimulation and entertainment. I wish you all health, happiness and success. Clip!"
