D’Andra Simmons Says Season Five Of RHOD Will Address Brandi Redmond’s Racially Insensitive Video!

D’Andra Simmons has revealed that the upcoming fifth season of The Real Housewives of Dallas will address Brandi Redmond's racist video.

“We will address that first thing head on. I think that’s very important for the show. We can’t just sweep it under the rug, especially since it was such a big deal for people and they were very upset about it,” she told Page Six.

Simmons implied that some other conversations surrounding race — aside from Redmond’s remarks — will take place in the upcoming season, which is currently in its last weeks of filming.

“I can’t really talk about the other cast members, but there’s another reason why we had to do that, as well,” she said. “You’ll have to wait and see [what that is].”

If you recall, Redmond came under fire for a 2017 Instagram Story video that showed her mocking Asians.

“Everybody ask me what Asian I am because of my eyes, they squinty,” she said in the resurfaced clip which was shared by LeeAnne Locken's party planner Steve Kimble.

“A video resurfaced of me from three years ago which at the time I had posted and quickly deleted and then immediately apologized for my insensitivity,” Redmond tweeted in January. “I would like to once again sincerely apologize for my offensive actions.”
