It all started after a fan reached out to the Skinnygirl mogul on Twitter to return to the Bravo hit reality series.
The fan tweeted, “We need B back!!!!!”
To which Frankel responded, “I AM NOT COMING BACK”
Earlier this week, Frankel revealed that she was “humbled by the threads and comments” that want her to return to RHONY.
“I honestly am stunned,” she told Fortune. “I haven’t been watching. I saw the first episode and part of another one, so I don’t know what’s going on there. There’s a lot of talk about what’s going on there, and I read comments that people say to me, ‘Please come back,’ and ‘Please save the show.’ It’s all flattering, and I wish the girls well. I’m doing other things though, and I just don’t know how that really would fit into my life as is.”
Frankel left RHONY in August 2019 to focus on other projects, including her philanthropy and family after a contract dispute reportedly did not go her way. She was a full-time cast member from the show’s inception in 2008 until its fourth season (2011). She returned to the show in 2015 for Season 7 and left again at the end of Season 11.
Since leaving the show she landed a competition reality show on HBO Max. In February the news was revealed that Frankel scored an eight-episode series, called “The Big Shot With Bethenny” (working title).
In the half-hour series, aspiring moguls will compete for a chance to win a spot of Frankel’s executive team. The reality series will be produced by MGM Television, B Real Productions, and Big Fish Entertainment. Frankel will serve as executive produce along with Mark Burnett, Barry Poznick, Dan Cesareo, and Lucilla D’Agostino.
Earlier this month, Frankel announced that she will be hosting her own podcast called Just B. She teamed with Endeavor Content for Just B, a podcast devoted to being a self-made mogul in business, lifestyle and beyond. Just B With Bethenny Frankel will launch in September 2020 and be available on Apple, Spotify, and other listening platforms.
