It appears that Bravo will be adding some new blood on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. According to Us Weekly, actress Drew Sidora and Canadian YouTuber LaToya Ali aka LaToya Forever, are joining Season 13 of the Bravo hit reality series.
Sidora is an actress known for her roles on That’s So Raven, The Game, Hindsight, and more. She also appeared in Step Up and played T-Boz in VH1’s 2013 biopic CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story. As for Ali, she is close friends with longtime cast member Kandi Burruss.
Meanwhile, Celebrity Blogger, Love B. Scott reports the following: “LaToya’s estranged husband (Adam Ali) not wanting certain things filmed. Last month, they announced they’ve ended their marriage. In the event they’re not able to work through whatever hold-up they’re having (whether it be for him to film or not wanting her to show the kids), the backup plan is for LaToya to be a friend of the show.”
As to why the network wants to add Sidora and Ali on the Bravo hit reality series? Apparently, show executives want ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ to start “trending younger.”
Last week, Kandi confirmed that filming began for Season 13 of RHOA. Returning along with Burruss are Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore, and Porsha Williams. It's still unclear if NeNe Leakes will return, however, during a recent Instagram Live chat, Leakes revealed that she soon plans to speak about her future on the series.
“If I told you the way I was treated, you would not believe it. Same with Tamar,” NeNe told her followers on Saturday, July 18. “I’d love to say more but I’m afraid it won’t be received well then I won’t get the support I need,” she shared.
“I have remained quiet. I haven’t said anything on it but it’s coming. I will be speaking. I have the right people to speak. Wait for it.”
Last month, HollywoodLife reported that “Cynthia [Bailey], Porsha [Williams], Kenya [Moore], Kandi [Burruss] and NeNe [Leakes] were sent contracts to return to the show full-time.”
The site also revealed that “Friends” Marlo Hampton and Tanya Sam “have been asked back” in their same roles. “They’re all planning on returning,” the source revealed, noting, “A few of them have signed their contracts already, while a few haven’t yet.”
Last month, Eva Marcille announced her departure from the series after three seasons. “I appreciate the bond of friendship that I have made with several of my castmates and the strong personal relationships I have with numerous executives and producers at the Bravo and Truly Entertainment companies,” she said in a statement to Us Weekly.
“I am thankful for the opportunity I was provided. However, after speaking with my family and representatives, I believe that what I hope to accomplish for the culture and community will be better served by focusing on other opportunities. I look forward to serving my community on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show and finding ways to be a voice during this transformational time in our country for people of color.”
Marcille joined the Bravo reality series as a friend of the Housewives during the show's tenth season, which premiered in November 2017. She was promoted to full-time Housewife the following year, which she served as a main cast member during the show's eleventh and twelfth seasons.
