According to a new report, Alicia Quarles is reportedly being added to the cast of The Real Housewives of New York City for the show’s upcoming thirteenth season.
OK! Magazine reported on July 27th that multiple sources revealed that the Daily Mail TV correspondent and former host of E!, who is married to husband Michael Ross, inked the deal with the network to join the series. She will be joining returning cast members Dorinda Medley, Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, and Leah McSweeney.
According to the outlet, Quarles addition comes from Bravo to “increase diversity” on the series.
“Alicia deserves to be on the show because of who she is,” said the source. “But there is no doubt that recent events across the country provided a reckoning for television producers, and the Housewives have not been immune to that.”
However, a Bravo rep has confirmed that while Quarles did meet with casting, “she has absolutely not been cast.”
“Alicia has just simply met with the casting agency for RHONY as have numerous other women who have been recommended by the current New York Housewives. That is as far as the discussion with Alicia has gone,” a source explained.
