Kyle Richards is opening up about her relationships with her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-stars Dorit Kemsley and Denise Richards. As for where she stands with Kemsley over their recent drama, “It’s not like, ‘Oh, is it spilling into your real life?’ No, this is our real life!” Kyle told Us Weekly. “You know, someone asked me that the other day. … Yes, it affects it. It can’t not.”
During the April 15 premiere episode of the Bravo hit reality series when Dorit suggested that Kyle could “just throw [her] name” on her new fashion line without ever seeing the pieces and it would still “be a success.” They clashed again on the May 6 episode after the Halloween Kills actress called out the Beverly Beach founder for showing up late to Teddi Mellencamp’s wellness retreat in full glam.
“I was really upset with her for the comments she made in the first episode about my business that weren’t true,” Kyle said. “I never say anything about anyone’s family or anyone’s business because that’s our livelihood. Our families are the most important things to us, so I stick with what the arguments are between the women. I just thought that was a low blow. So then when something like that happens, then when I go on Twitter, I’m not going to be as nice as I normally would. I’m not.”
When asked whether she is talking to Dorit these days, Kyle told Us Weekly, “Directly, no. I haven’t. We’re in a group chat, but … we’ve kind of not been talking directly because I know she’s mad. I know that I’m mad.”
Kyle is hopeful that the two could patch things up. “We’ll get over it. I really care about Dorit,” she explained. “We probably both need a little time to get over some of the comments and the interview bytes and Twitter and all that stuff or Watch What Happens Live.”
Kyle is also opening up about where she stands with Denise Richards after calling her ragamuffin.
“I had never argued with Denise until this whole thing happened,” she told Us Weekly. “Honestly, I think there were some conversations happening off camera with perhaps some former Housewives, is what I’m thinking.”
“Up until this season [Denise] has always been like, “I’m not into glam. That’s not my thing, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,’” Kyle said. “Then we arrived at her party and she was late because she’s having hair and makeup done for her pizza and ice cream party. And then the diamond ice sculpture and the diamond ice cubes, I was like, ‘What’s happening here? This is not the Denise that I’ve gotten to know.’ Then when she started defending the glam, I was like, ‘Oh my God. No. No one’s being authentic right now.’”
Kyle added that the situation was making her “crazy.”
“My mom, when I was a kid and I would run around not having my hair brushed, she’d say, ‘Don’t run around like a ragamuffin,’” she explained. “So I just said that. The word itself makes me laugh. I didn’t say it in a nice way, but the word in itself was just a ridiculous word.”
