Ramona Singer Says Season 12 Of RHONY Is “Lighter And Happier” Following Bethenny Frankel’s Departure! Sonja Morgan Says Bethenny Is “Never Replaceable” As She Describes New Season As A “Hot-Mess”

Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan are spilling the tea about the current season of The Real Housewives of New York City. Singer revealed that Season 12 is "lighter and happier and freer" following Bethenny Frankel's departure.

"I’m really excited to watch this season," Singer told DailyMailTV. "And if I’m excited after 12 years, you know it’s really good!"

Adding: "I’ll describe it in one word: it’s unique. So unique. I’ve never filmed a season in 12 years like this season."

"From what I understand, [viewers] thought that the past three seasons, when Bethenny was on, it got very dark," she said. "And I’m not saying she was the reason, but there’s a different dynamic here."

She continued, "Everyone was just lighter and happier and freer, and nothing ever got dark," Singer revealed. "It never got dark. Did we have conflicts? Absolutely. Did we have resolutions? Sometimes. Sometimes not. But it went to a whole different level."

Ramona went so far as to add that the cast has "never been so unified as a group."

"We’re having a lot of fun together," Singer dished. "I mean, we definitely get angry at each other and have these major blowout fights, but it’s a lot of fun."

She added, "I actually had a lot of fun filming this year. Like the best time ever I think in a long time."

Meanwhile, Sonja Morgan promises will be a much needed "hot-mess" in the new season.

"Oh, this season is intense because the closer we get, we know what buttons to push in each other," Sonja told DailyMailTV. "What a hot mess comin' up," Sonja quipped. "Which I know you love."

Morgan also dishes about new cast member Leah McSweeney. "I always say Ramona's an itch I can't scratch," Sonja said. "This girl's like a rash... the new girl."

"Well, you're going to see a lot this season about what I have to say about Miss Leah, but one thing I can say she's a bonafide New Yorker," she said. "This girl is tried-and-true a real New Yorker."
