Missé Beqiri’s Family Release Statement After Brother Flamur Beqiri Was Gunned Down In Front Of His Wife And Child On Christmas Eve!

Real Housewives of Cheshire alum Missé Beqiri’s family has released a public statement after her brother, Flamus "Alex" Beqiri was gunned down in front of his London home in front of his wife and child on Christmas Eve.

In a statement, Flamus' family said they were in “shock and grieving” and asked for their privacy to be respected.

“We thank everyone for their kind thoughts and condolences. To have so much sadness at this time of the year is heartbreaking.”

The added: “We would kindly ask that you respect our privacy and let us grieve in peace,” according to BBC News.

Last week, Detective inspector Jamie Stevenson said the force were making “good progress” and had begun considering the possibility Flamur was the victim of a "targeted attack.”

“We believe Flamur may possibly have been involved in some criminality in Sweden, and are in liaison with our Swedish counterparts to try to understand what, if any, incidents there may have been that might have led to someone seeking retribution against Flamur in the UK.”

Swedish media reported that Flamur's murder was “linked to criminal networks” in the country. Apparently, he was once one of Sweden’s most wanted men and knows several victims of recent gangland slayings in Malmo, according to a report by The Sun.

Police in the city are expected to brief Scotland Yard that his association with two feuding underworld figures should be probed, a source told the Telegraph.

Sources also told Daily Mail that Flamur left Sweden due to "death threats.”

Scotland Yard has reportedly confirmed it's examining whether Flamur was killed in retribution for his criminal past.

Flamur previously had close connections to major figures in Malmo’s underworld and was linked to a massive cannabis smuggling plot 12 years ago.

The news comes after Flamur was shot down on Christmas Eve in front of his wife and young child after returning to his £1.5million London home from a family evening out on Tuesday. According to The Sun, the gunman fled the scene on foot after the slaying on Battersea Church Road, South West London, cops said.

Medics and a health worker neighbor battled to save Flamur, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have launched a murder investigation but no arrests have been made.

Neighbors have described the horrifying killing as an "execution". Neighbors described rushing to help the man after hearing a series of "incredibly loud bangs".

One local resident revealed that police said they believed the killing was a professional hit.

DCI Jamie Stevenson, of the Specialist Crime Command released a statement to The Sun, he said: "Our investigation is in the very early stages and we are still working to establish what the motive could be that has led to a man losing his life in such a horrific way, on Christmas Eve, in front of his family."

"They have been devastated by this horrible event and are being supported by specialist officers. We know that the victim was returning home with his wife and young child following an evening out, when he was shot just yards from his home."

"The attack took place at 21:00hrs in the evening. Not only would many people have been out going about their business, but I am sure many residents would have been alarmed by the sound of the disturbance and gone to see what had happened.

“Did you see a person fleeing the area? Where did they go, and what did they look like? Had you noticed anyone loitering in the area beforehand?"

A floral tribute left outside the house read: "To Debbie, thinking of you and your family at this difficult time. Lots of love."

Flamur, who ran record label 2020rec moved to the UK in 2016, met his wife Debora Krasniqi on Facebook and they got married in October 2018 in Lake Como that was covered by Albanian news because local celebrities were in attendance, reports The Sun.
