Kameron Westcott: “Getting Stephanie Away From Brandi Allows Me To See Another Side Of Her”

Kameron Westcott is taking to her Bravo Blog to dish on last week's episode of The Real Housewives of Dallas. Kameron Westcott praises Cary Deuber and LeeAnne Locken from coming to her defense over Brandi Redmond's talks about meeting LeeAnne Locken and Stephanie Hollman for lunch and her business, Sparkle Dog.

ravotv.com: Was Brandi the only roadblock between being friends with Stephanie? Or were there other contributing factors as well?
Kameron Westcott: I would not call Brandi a roadblock. She is just a firecracker!! Firecrackers are fun and exciting but can also be too loud and explosive for some people’s taste. I like firecrackers, especially pink ones, but getting Stephanie away from Brandi allows me to see another side of her. When she is not with Brandi she is more independent and more open and also more subdued and conservative. Stephanie and I recently started working out together and are building a friendship, and it’s been a lot of fun!!

Bravotv.com: How did it feel to be an honorary chair for the 80s themed No Tie Dinner & Dessert Party benefiting AIDS Services of Dallas Charity?
KW: I was beyond honored to have been asked to chair the No Tie Dinner and Dessert Party. Many people in Dallas and around the world are affected by HIV. Like cancer, it is a disease that needs help fighting, and I want to be a part of that fight. I also was super excited to dress up in 80s theme!! 

Bravotv.com: Out of all the ladies, which ‘80s themed outfit was your favorite? Which one was your least favorite?
KW: I actually loved LeeAnne’s outfit the best. I would have actually worn her dress!! She truly looked like a sparkling prom queen brunette Barbie, and her hair and makeup were beyond perfect! Brandi’s outfit was the most creative, though, and she wins the “most creative” award...but I would always prefer to be in a sparkling prom dress vs. strutting a suit and a mustache! 

Bravotv.com: Can you tell us more about the new study you told your husband about- that dogs can see colors?
KW: It is a common misperception that dogs see only in black and white.

It is 100% true that dogs see color. However, the range of these colors is more restricted to those in the yellow portion of the spectrum. Instead of seeing the rainbow as violet, blue-green, green, yellow, orange and red, dogs see it as dark blue, light blue, gray, light yellow, darker yellow (sorta brown), and a very dark gray. They see the colors green, yellow and orange as yellowish, and they see violet and blue as blue. Blue-green is seen as a gray. Attaching a spectrum below for people to see!! So yes...dogs can shop for that pink coat if they have been dreaming about it!!

Bravotv.com: How did it feel to prove your husband wrong about the potential for Sparkle Dog?
KW: Proving my husband wrong is one of the most fun things in life!! I love to constantly prove him wrong. He is right about me having a shopping addiction but when it comes to anything pink...he has a hard time taking me seriously. It’s okay...I just have to guide him like a little pink puppy and hopefully, he will get lots of pink treats at the end!
