The estranged couple addressed their split in a statement to The Blast. "We have been struggling in our marriage for years and have decided to seek divorce. While we wanted to keep this situation as private and quiet as possible for the sake of our children and family, we no longer feel we can keep this situation hidden from the public eye,” they said. “We have known each other since we were 22 years old and we have the utmost respect and love for each other. We are trying to navigate this as gracefully as possible. We will continue to have the best interest for our kids and for each other.”
Lizzie's rep Hunter Frederick also shared a statement with Page Six: “Christian and Lizzie are doing their best to walk through this deeply personal and painful situation with as much grace as possible. They would ask for your prayers and privacy for their family during this deeply personal matter.”
The former Bravo reality star showed her gratitude for all of the love she has received from fans during this difficult time in a tweet posted on July 26. "I just want to thank all of you who have shown me compassion & support," she said. "I may be quietly going through the hardest time in my life; but I promise you it’s the BEST time in my life....because for the first time I’ve chosen me!"
The couple was married for eight years and share two children, Kingston and Preston.
Rovsek first appeared on RHOC for Season 9 and came back for Season 10 as a friend. She also made an cameo appearance in Season 12.
