Robyn Dixon: “The Clash Between Candiace And Charrisse Was Very Unnecessary And Got Completely Out Of Hand”

Robyn Dixon is taking to her Bravo Blog to dish on this week's episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac. Robyn Dixon weighs in on Candiace Dillard's clash with Charrisse Jackson Jordan.

BravoTV.com: Watching it back, what did you think about Charrisse asking if Candiace’s mom bought her wedding ring? Was it a shady bitch moment or a fair question? 
Robyn Dixon: I believe Charrisse was joking, but I definitely think that asking Candiace if her mother bought her engagement ring was pretty damn shady. I really stayed out of the “Candiace’s mom pays for everything” talk because I really didn’t see an issue with her mother financially contributing to her lifestyle. But, since Candiace had shared so much information about her lifestyle, I can see why the ladies felt the freedom to probe Candiace even more, even in a jokingly shady way.

BravoTV.com: Tell us about Juan getting you the boots and that kiss! 
RD: Ashley literally sent us this crazy long list of things to bring to Nemacolin, outdoor boots being one of them. Juan heard me stressing over this list and how much stuff I needed to purchase for the trip all week. So, it was such a pleasant surprise when he came home with the boots! His thoughtfulness was so sweet and really meant a lot to me.

Believe it or not, Juan and I have always kissed each other hello, goodbye and at random times in between. So this kiss was pretty normal for us. But my heart really melted when my son Carter was so excited and thought his father "deserved a kiss!"

BravoTV.com: What are your thoughts about that clash between Charrisse and Candiace? 
RD: The clash between Candiace and Charrisse was very unnecessary and got completely out of hand. No woman likes to be called a bitch, so I can understand Charrisse’s reaction upon hearing the words “shady bitch,” especially since Candiace had no problem with Charrisse’s ring question when she said initially. It felt like Candiace was pumped up to all of a sudden clap back at every little comment and had something to prove. On top of that, the name-calling and age-shaming were extremely immature and disrespectful.

BravoTV.com: As Gizelle’s friend, what do you think of this clash between Gizelle and Candiace at lunch? 
RD: Again, that was another unnecessary blowup. I completely agreed with Gizelle about Candiace owing Charrisse an apology. I don’t think Gizelle was coming from a confrontational place when suggesting that Candiace apologize to Charrisse.


But in order for us ladies to move forward and have a great time at Nemacolin, the air needed to be cleared, and peace needed to be made. So once again, it felt as if Candiace really had something to prove when she started going at it with Gizelle. Despite what some people think, every disagreement does not have to be met with an argument, name-calling, raised voices, or a shady retort!
