Kelly Dodd’s RHOC Season 12 Co-Stars React To Her Divorce!

Late last month Kelly Dodd confirmed that she has decided to divorce her husband Michael of 11 years. “Our marriage is over, I’m out of there! We’ve have problems for years and I’ve had enough. I’m done with our marriage,” she told The Daily Mail.

Now, Kelly's RHOC co-stars are sharing their thoughts on the split. Peggy Sulahian reveals she found the news about the couple heartbreaking. "Well, it's always unfortunate that a family has to go through this," she said during an interview with Bravo's The Daily Dish. "I always say, 'There's two things that ruin a family: It's divorce and cancer.' It's not easy. It's terrible. I feel for her."

The RHOC newbie went on to say that she and her husband Diko Sulahian have gotten to know Michael, and "he's an amazing guy." However, Peggy also said that she sensed there was trouble at home for the couple based on how Kelly behaved with her fellow OC Housewives. "I didn't need to watch the show to know. You lashed out for a reason, you're unhappy, and you've got to take it out on somebody. And you take it out on whoever it is, but you don't know why you're taking it out because it doesn't make sense when you're being disrespectful to the person in front of you," she explained. "I could tell from someone's actions and someone's eyes what they're going through, and I do feel for Kelly... To have divorce in the family, it's very unfortunate, especially when you have a child. Hopefully, they'll reconcile in the future."

Peggy said that she had hoped to impart some wisdom to Kelly as she went through this difficult time with Michael. "I would have given [advice] to her if she was easier to talk to and she was approachable. I would have been there for her, even if we don't get along or if she just sees things differently, if she just asked me for it, I would be there, no matter what," Peggy shared. "It doesn't matter what you've done, what you've said, because you're coming from a place of concern. I would help, I'd want to be there for you. That's just how I am."

Meanwhile, Vicki Gunvalson revealed that Kelly is in good spirits after announcing her plan to file for divorce from Michael Dodd, her husband of 11 years. “Kelly’s good,” Gunvalson told Us Weekly. “It’s not unusual anymore to hear somebody’s getting divorced. It’s more like, ‘I’m so sorry, what can I do for you?’ I called Kelly and I said, ‘What can I do for you?’ She said, ‘You’re the only person that asked me that.’”

Although Dodd is keeping her head up high, she's nervous about the future “Right now, [Kelly] is scared,” the reality star continued. “She doesn’t know what her life is going to be like, if they following through with this. I’m her friend and I want to be there for her. So that’s that. I don’t want to ask any questions. I don’t want to know anything. I just want to be there for her. That’s what friends do.”

As for whether Dodd seems happier being single? “I think happiness is a state of mind. Whatever works, I support her and Michael in whatever they wish to do. I want everybody happy,” Gunvalson told the publication. “I’ve been divorced. If that’s what it takes, I just want everyone happy. If you’re not happy, you get out. We’re both divorced. We made the decision to get divorced. Because you know what? Sometimes that’s better. Sometimes it’s OK. Society accepts it now.”

As for Shannon Beador, she revealed that she found out about Dodd's plans to divorce her husband Michael just like everyone else: by reading about it in the press. "When I read that Kelly and Michael were divorcing, I mean, it's sad. It's always sad when a family splits up, so I just hope that they both are happy and that their daughter is gonna adjust well with it," Shannon recently shared with Bravo's The Daily Dish. "I mean, it's just never a fun thing. But it appears from the article that I read that this is what she wants to happen."

Shannon, who said that she has not spoken to Kelly since the news broke, went on to say that just because we've gotten a look at the couple's relationship on RHOC doesn't mean we know the full story. "All of us can sit there and judge a marriage and say, 'Oh well, this should happen, that should happen.' Nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors. I don't know really what type of marriage they have when the cameras are turned off and they go home and it's just the two of them. Nobody knows," Shannon said. "So they're intelligent individuals, and hopefully they're making the right decision for their family."

Kelly shared why she is seeking a divorce from Michael in an interview with The Daily Mail at the end of last month. "It's just a case where two people can't get along," she explained. "It's best if we went our separate ways and concentrate on our daughter."

Kelly and Michael have an 11-year-old daughter together, Jolie. The RHOC couple previously filed for divorce in 2012, but they later decided to get back together.
