Tinsley Mortimer is taking to her Bravo Blog to dish on this week's episode of The Real Housewives of New York City. Tinsley Mortimer hopes she never has to go up against Dorinda Medley in a battle and reveals why she's confused by Sonja Morgan's "new rules."
Tinsley writes:
"I finally got to meet the infamous Dorinda, and although "she came in like a wrecking ball," (to quote Miley Cyrus) at dinner, I really liked her! She doesn’t hold back...that's for sure. I did feel badly for Sonja and tried to stand up for her but got shut down fast. I know she wanted to end the feud, but it appears that I may not have heard the whole story from her. Even though I tried to help her, not knowing all the details of the story made it harder than I thought... and let's just say I was a little scared too!
I have to say that I hope I’m never up against Dorinda in a battle. She’s one hard-core badass chick. I’ve never once in my life been to a dinner party like that, and I hope that I don’t have to be a guest at one again anytime soon, but something tells me that it won’t be the last.
The Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum moment with Sonja and me in matching Hamptons' getups, hats and all, is hilarious! We didn’t plan that…I guess that’s what happens when you have a roommate! We looked like twin spies!
Dinner with Luann and Dorinda was a lot of fun, and I was happy to get to know them better and for them to get to know me. I should have mentioned to Sonja that I was having dinner with them, but my intentions by not telling her were not to be hurtful or misleading. I was worried she would be mad just because of the recent dinner party debacle. I knew she and Dorinda had made up, but I wasn’t so convinced that it was completely over. I honestly thought she wanted me to be friends with the girls, whom she introduced to me on my own, and I thought that if I were friends with them as well that I might be able to help clear up any drama between Sonja and them in the future.
I guess a bonus of living with someone is that you can overhear them, like a fly on the wall, when they talk about you. To clear up our conversation in the kitchen, Sonja was mad at me, yes, for going to dinner with Dorinda and Lu, which, I agree, I should have told her about. But what was hurtful to me was that I have known Jeremy and Eric (Carole’s "foster-child") for many more years than Sonja. I have known them separately from her. I was invited to a party in NYC, one that I used to be a junior chair for and have attended many years. I was asked by Jeremy and Eric to sit at their table, and I accepted. I didn’t know that living with Sonja meant I needed to give her a detailed schedule of my plans. I didn’t not tell her to be mean, I just didn’t know that I was obligated to do so. As it turns out, Sonja was invited too but had never gotten back to Eric or Jeremy. I was hurt she wasn’t happy for me to be getting back out in New York and hanging out with friends. I thought that this was what she was encouraging me to do. I was confused by her new rules and thought being a good houseguest would be one that gave you your space and didn't bother you by checking in all the time. Guess I was wrong!
See you next week!"
