Ashley Darby is taking to her Bravo Blog to dish on this week's episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac. Ashley defends wanting to meet Eddie at Skylar's party - and weighs in on Gizelle Braynt and Monqiue Samuels' hookah blowout. Check it out!
Bravotv.com: Were you surprised when Charrisse Jackson Jordan wasn’t talking to Eddie at all at the party? What was it like being the room with both of them?
Ashley Darby: I have to say that surprised is an understatement. After sharing a bed with one man for 20 years I couldn't imagine not speaking to him at an event we are co-hosting for our children. Am I missing something? There must be something truly dysfunctional that we are not privy to.
Bravotv.com: Why did you want to meet Eddie so badly – what do you think about Charrisse saying you’re “obsessed with her marriage”?
AD: First of all, what law am I breaking by introducing myself to somebody? Secondly, Eddie Jordan is an elusive figure who has been the topic of MANY conversations for the last couple of years, so when I spotted him in the flesh it was the equivalent of spotting the Loch Ness Monster in his habitat. Who wouldn't be curious?! Obsessed, however, is the wrong word to be used in this instance. I was more like intrigued, surprised, shocked - those more accurate definitions.
Bravotv.com: Why do you think Charrisse got so mad at you for talking about Eddie at hookah?
AD: I have no clue why Charrisse got mad. Here we are amongst people she has known for years, and Monique Samuels has become a fast friend, so why all the secrecy? It's not like we're in a room full of strangers blasting her business; besides, from what I gather everyone else has known about their marital issues for a long time, so there were no new lessons being taught at hookah night.
Bravotv.com: What did you think of Gizelle Bryant and Monique’s confrontation - Being the new girl last year, do you think Gizelle hazes the new girls?
AD: One of my first lessons when meeting the women of Potomac was how insecure they can be. The last thing anyone wants is to be yesterday's news, and a newcomer poses that threat. I believe in my own fabulousness so I don't carry that burden, but it certainly complicates new introductions. Gizelle is a yappy dog with no bite - I'm optimistic that she'll eventually come around.
Bravotv.com: What did you think of Charrisse’s therapy session?
AD: Honestly, the end of marriage does not seem like a walk in the park. It's like losing a large part of yourself which can be heartbreakingly difficult. While I understand Charrisse's bereavement, I do sincerely hope she sheds this layer of skin and finds a way to get her groove back. The best way to get over one man is to... oh you know the saying ;).
