While promoting the ninth season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Cynthia Bailed dished on her divorce and she revealed that her fellow Housewives co-stars have been a source of emotional support during her split.
“I have to say, they’ve been pretty compassionate,” she told People Now. “Quite a few of the ladies have actually been through divorce proceedings themselves, so they’ve been through it. So they kind of sympathize with what I’m going through.”
Bailey said she’s grateful to be around such supportive women — even if they don’t get along all the time — and that she feels comfortable reaching out to any of her fellow Housewives if she’s having a bad day.
“We’re connected and we’re kind of bonded to each other,” she said. “That really [means] a lot to me.”
As for how she’s doing now, Bailey said she’s “still just finding her way.”
“I’ve only been married once,” she explained. “This is my first divorce, so I didn’t have anything to compare this experience to. Just like you don’t know how to be married until I got married, and didn’t know how to be a mom until I got pregnant and became a mom.”
“I don’t pretend to have all the answers. I’m just trying to stay true to just what is giving me peace,” she continued.
