Jules Wainstein's Ex-Husband Michael Slapped With $23K Tax Lien!

Things aren't looking good for Michael Wainstein. Apart from dealing with a messy divorce from Real Housewives of New York City star Jules Wainstein after he was allegedly caught having an affair, he reportedly owns $23,078.75 in state taxes.

According to Radar Online, the Real Housewives of New York City husband was hit with a lien after failing to pay $23,078.75 in state taxes.

A New York county clerk confirmed to the site that the lien is still open, meaning that he has not paid any of the debt filed on May 31, 2016.

Wainstein was also slapped with a lien for $2,454 on April 30, 2013 — but a New York County clerk confirmed that he paid off the debt on June 15, 2016.

Just one month later, he filed for divorce from Jules Wainstein, 35. The Wainsteins were married for eight years, and have two children — Jagger, 5, and Rio, 3.

According to court documents obtained by E! News, Jules has enlisted Bethenny Frankel's divorce lawyers, Aronson Mayefsky and Sloan, for her case, which is also listed as a "contested" divorce. This means that there are certain terms that the two parties cannot agree to, either about getting divorced or about issues pertaining to the separation, such as the division of assets, allocation of debts, alimony, child support, or the custody of children.

The mother-of-two was also hit with a lien for allegedly refusing to pay $25,000 in bills related to her lux New York condo, which E! News has learned is not the family home, but Jules' apartment that she lived in prior to her marriage.
