Jules Wainstein Regrets Her ‘New Money, Old Money’ Comment: “I Was Horrified And Embarrassed--I Wasn't Raised That Way”

Julianne "Jules" Wainstein is taking to her Bravo Blog to dish on this week's episode of The Real Housewives of New York City. While Jules Wainstein is happy that she opened up about her eating disorder, there was one statement she made during the episode that she regrets.

Jules writes:

"Watching the first four episodes was difficult. It was hard to watch the other girls talk about my weight, because I'm an open book. Almost too honest to a fault. These women aren't wallflowers and should have just asked me. I would have been open and honest about it; I always am. I'm happy about this episode in that I want people to understand that I am working through my disorder day by day, and I thank my support system. I am happy and healthy and that's what is important.

The comment about Bethenny's home, the "new money, old money" ... I was upset and felt offended about what was said about me, my life and my home, but it was wrong to say what I did, and I own it! As I watched it on television, I was horrified and embarrassed--I wasn't raised that way. But I was caught off-guard and felt hurt. We are all human and say things we don't mean.

After the one-on-one time I had with Bethenny, I did feel a connection with her and was relieved to get to know her better. She was very receptive, and I appreciated that.

Ramona's birthday lunch was great.  You can tell a lot about someone by how many wonderful friends they have. There was so much love that filled the room. It's says a lot about Ramona. She is a lovely lady, and I was happy to be there. Meeting Sonja for the first time was a riot, too. I like her pep and energy. She's got style and humor, and I enjoyed talking to her. Despite the things I've heard about her from the other ladies, I never like to judge someone by the rumors but by how they treat me, so I got a great first impression. She invited me to her birthday party, and Michael and I are excited to celebrate with her.

Dorinda, of course, the articulate woman she is, made the most amazing birthday speech, which was big of her to do in spite of what she and Ramona are going through in their friendship. Hopefully, it will be the beginning of building their relationship back to where it was.

Until next week
