Heather Thomson: “I’m Staying Focused On The Positive”

Heather Thomson is taking to her Bravo Blog to dish on this week's episode of The Real Housewives of New York City. Heather is tired of the back and forth over Turks and Caicos. Heather writes:

"Well I guess Luann is mad at me again. I can’t keep up and honestly don’t care to. This issue was over in Turks and Caicos and she just keeps dragging it out for something to sing about!

I’m staying focused on the positive, and I’m really busy with my Yummie brand. My business has been growing since our launch seven years ago. It’s always really exciting here, and so my focus and attention is on Yummie and my family and true friendships, not drawn out drama…

My new Yummie loungewear collection is launching in stores and on in late September, and it’s very exciting. You’re going to love the versatility of the collection, along with the beautiful fabrics and flowy layers. Our lounge essentials will easily take you from the sofa to the street and are designed to perfectly layer up for an effortless look all week long! I can’t wait for you to check it out. As you got to see in Turks and Caicos, I also launched my Yummie active collection (thanks for the advice, Bethenny, but our collection already hit stores), and it is great! And fall denim is in! The new finishes are killer! I took an innovative design approach, making each pair super flattering for all shapes and sizes. With Yummie, you can love wearing your jeans again. Holla!

In addition to building my brand and focusing on the things I love, I continue my work with my charities.

I summited those 14ners with No Barriers, and we celebrated our 10-year anniversary at the Kellner Pediatric Liver Foundation. I’m also back in school! In January, I enrolled as a student at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition pursuing my degree as a health and wellness coach. I knew balancing it all would be tough but well worth the fight. My plan is to be an advocate for health and wellness, helping to educate people about healthy choices and stacking the odds in our favor with every bite. It’s about change and "new beginnings," I guess!

Well guys, it’s been a great season! And outside of our differences, my takeaway is the laughter. One thing about this groups of NYers is that we certainly know how to have a good time together, and I hope you did, too! (But don’t come without Dorinda!)

Thank you all for watching and keeping up with us!

You can continue to keep up with all things Yummie by signing up for our newsletter. We have a lot of great things coming up, and I want you to be the first to know.

See you on the couch!
