Lisa And Lenny Hochstein Are Expecting Their First Child Via Surrogate!

It's official! Real Housewives of Miami star Lisa Hochstein and her plastic surgeon husband Lenny Hochstein are expecting their first child via a surrogate, Lisa confirms exclusively to Us Weekly.

The couple’s happy news comes after three miscarriages and four failed IVF attempts.

“It did not feel real, almost unbelievable!” “Although I was beyond excited and overjoyed, we did not want to get our hopes up too high until we passed the first trimester.”

After struggling to conceive for years, and documenting some of the painful process on seasons two and three of the Bravo show, Lisa explains they considered this latest round their “last resort.”

“We felt that we tried almost every option available to us except surrogacy,” she explains. “Adoption was a consideration if this didn’t work.”

Even with a baby on the way, the mom-to-be admits that it “was a difficult decision” to choose the surrogate route.

“Hopefully in the future I will have this opportunity,” she tells Us of becoming pregnant herself.

Their little one is due Aug. 1, but Hochstein says they’ve been told the baby could arrive sooner. “The baby might be [born] on my birthday, which is July 24,” that would be the best gift in the world!”

The couple has yet to find out the sex of the baby — but they’ve got ideas when it comes to the name.

“We are thinking he or she should have a name beginning with the letter L so we would all have the same initials,” she gushed to Us. “How cute is that?!”
