Gina Liano Says She's Been Approached By Several Producers To Star In An Australian Version Of Judge Judy

A few months ago, we reported that Gina Liano from The Real Housewives Of Melbourne was rumored to star in her own spin-off series - a Judge Judy type court show. We also reported that the fearless barrister filmed a pilot. Since then, everything remained silent, until now.

The mother-of-two addresses the speculation of the possibility of getting her own spin-off show, tipped to be the Australian version of Judge Judy.

‘There is talk. I’ve been approached by several production companies both in Australia and the USA. You’ll have to watch this space,’ Liano tells the Daily Mail Australia.

In America, retired family court judge Judith Sheindlin has been starring on the show for 19 seasons and sees the feisty star adjudicate small claim arguments for the cameras.

Gina insists she wouldn’t change her personality but insists viewers would get to see her academic side.

‘I would obviously bring the character that I am, that people know by having watched Real Housewives.’
‘People know me from reality TV but they don’t me in my role or my capacity in my professional life. It’s another aspect of my life that people get to see – the academic Gina. How is it that she has this quick tongue and wit? Let’s see her in action in her profession.'
