“She was asked to be on the show a couple of weeks ago and was excited,” a source told Us Weekly. “However, she already had plans for the summer that she couldn’t shift around to participate so unfortunately she will not be on the Girls Trip.”
According to PEOPLE, insiders say Mortimer chose to exit production for “personal reasons” and she was replaced by former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams.
Williams will join RHUGT along with Real Housewives of Potomac stars Gizelle Bryant and Candiace Dillard-Bassett, Real Housewives of Miami stars Alexia Nepola (formerly known as Alexia Echevarria) and Marysol Patton, Real Housewives of New York City star Leah McSweeney, and Real Housewives of Salt Lake City stars Heather Gay and Whitney Rose.
Sources are already predicting that Williams may clash with RHOP’s Candiace.
“Porsha and Candiace are expected to clash as Porsha took Monique Samuels’ side in the women’s explosive feud on ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac,’” a source told Page Six. “There’s going to be a lot of drama to unpack there.”
PEOPLE previously reported that the women will fly to Thailand on July 14 before filming begins in July18.
Peacock officially announced via TODAY that RHUGT is coming back for a third season. The popular streaming service also confirmed that filming will take place in Thailand.
“Following a wildly successful first two seasons of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip,” the description read via E!
