New Details Emerge About RHONY’s Upcoming Legacy And Reboot Shows!

New details have emerged about the upcoming reboot and legacy editions of The Real Housewives of New York City.

The news kicked off after it was confirmed that Tinsley Mortimer decided not to join the third season of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip

DeuxMoi reported the following, “Tinsleys exit from UGT is not because of “personal reasons” ...she'll be doing Legacy alongside Sonja, Dorinda, Kelly, Luann and Jill. No Bethenny and No Ramona!”

However, PEOPLE reporter Dave Quinn, is denying the popular gossip site’s alleged tea.

“LOL not a single #RHONYLegacy contract has been signed and no official offers from the network even made — but sure, go and publish your dreamcasts!” he tweeted.

He continued, “And yes, some women have been talking to producers, duh! But ask any Housewife who has been fired and they'll tell you about all the conversations they had with producers telling them they were coming back before they got the axe. It's all up in the air until it's not.”

When a fan asked Quinn if there’s any update on the Legacy edition, he tweeted, “I'm hearing that's nearly locked and loaded.”

If you recall, Bravo confirmed the news in March that they were working on two RHONY shows. One to reboot the series with a whole new cast and another featuring some of the show's most iconic cast members.

Andy shared that he “takes into account everything that our passionate audience has really been telling us over the last year,” Cohen told Variety back in March. He also said that “rebooting and recasting” the series, most likely from scratch, and launching a second “RHONY” series featuring former stars.

“You know that we’re at a crossroads for ‘RHONY,’” Cohen said at that time. “We’ve spent a lot of time figuring out where to go. And the plan that we’ve come up with, I think, is a real gift to the fans.”

“There are thousands of stories to tell here,” he continued. “This is the most multicultural, diverse, and energetic and exciting city in America: We are searching for a multicultural group of friends who really best reflect the most exciting city in the country. We’re looking for a group of women who are real friends, and who are of diverse backgrounds, races and religions.”

As for the second “Real Housewives of New York City” that will feature ex-cast members, Andy shared that there’s no official title for this show yet.  Cohen said it’s being referred to internally as “RHONY: Throwback” or “RHONY: Legacy.”
