It appears that Porsha Williams is seemingly hinting that she may not return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta for the show’s upcoming 14th season of the Bravo hit reality series amid cast shakeup rumors.
Fans first noticed that Williams shared cryptic posts via Instagram about her not returning to the series.
The co-host of Bravo’s Chat Room also shared another cryptic post via her Instagram Story.
The post read as, “You can literally feel when it’s time to move into your life’s next chapter.”
The news comes after Radar Online recently reported that production for Season 14 has been used back to October amid cast shakeup.
Typically, the Bravo hit reality series films in the summer, with new seasons premiering in the fall, but producers are allegedly in crisis mode over casting.
According to the insider, showrunners were taking into consideration the season’s dip in ratings and vocal disappointment from fans by committing to a cast shakeup.
And apparently, that’s proving to be more difficult a task than anyone anticipated; according to All About The Tea, production is still struggling to find new talent, hence the delay in filming.
“The ratings weren’t the best this past season, so they need to do something to help get more viewers,” a source told The Jasmine Brand.
Indeed, Season 13 saw the lowest ratings in RHOA history, with 489,000 fewer viewers than that which the Season 12 premiere garnered. Furthermore, TV Deets reported that the Season 13 finale and subsequent three-part reunion were the series’ lowest-rated ever.
Porsha is currently filming an eight-episode spinoff series expected to focus on her unconventional family and controversial engagement to Falynn’s ex-husband, Simon Guobadia. According to All About The Tea, Williams is “seriously considering” bowing out of RHOA Season 14.
Kenya and Kandi are reportedly expected to return to the show in full-time positions, but Cynthia is not. Several outlets have reported that Bailey’s steep salary and consistently weak storylines could see her demoted to “friend” or even fired altogether.
Falynn has already stated she will not return, and LaToya is reportedly not coming back, either.
Meanwhile, Tamara Tattles reported that Sheree Whitfield is set to return to the series for Season 14. The outlet claims that Williams is seeking a pay raise while Bailey along with Ali will not be returning. Meanwhile, sources claim that Marlo may finally be getting her peach while Sidora was allegedly asked to return but her role is unknown at this time.
The outlet adds that Bravo has reached out to former cast members Lisa Wu, DeShawn Snow, and Shamari DeVoe to potentially make appearances in guest or a friend role.
