Cynthia Bailey Reveals She Still Hasn’t Heard If She’ll Be Returning To ‘RHOA’ For Season 14; Says “If I Don’t Come Back, I Wish The Show Well”

Cynthia Bailey reveals that she still hasn't heard if she'll be returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta for the show's upcoming fourteenth season.

"I don't even know if I'm gonna be returning next season," she told PEOPLE's Reality Check when asked about the possible fates of two of her castmates, Porsha Williams and Drew Sidora.

The model turned reality star also clarified that she hasn't been formally let go from the show, but "I don't have a contract in my hand" just yet.

"I don't know what's happening," she said, adding she'd hope to show her life as a wife to broadcaster Mike Hill. "I'm in a really happy place in my life. My fans got to see my happy ending. So I want them to be able to see me happy," she said.

If the network decides not to bring her back, Bailey said she's choosing to focus on the "amazing" 11 seasons she's had.

"If I don't come back, I wish the show well. It's been an incredible journey with incredible memories," she told PEOPLE. "However it works out, Bravo has been amazing to me. This platform has been amazing. It's created so many opportunities for me. I'm good."

"I'm hopeful I won't be out of the Bravo business. I just won't maybe be on this show anymore. I have a lot of other things I would like to do with Bravo," she said, jokingly adding: "You'll still be seeing these cheekbones."

Last week, Bailey addressed the topic when she appeared on an episode of The Wendy Williams Show where she made a joke about potentially not returning to the Bravo hit reality series.

After Wendy welcomed Bailey to the stage, telling her, "We're going to light New York on fire!"

"You're paying, right?" Cynthia said, according to Entertainment Tonight. "Word on the street is I may be out of a job, so I'm going to need you to pay if we're gonna go to dinner."

Later during the conversation, Wiliams mentions the rumors about a potential cast shakeup for the show's upcoming season and the daytime talks show host tells Cynthia that she thinks it should be her who gets fired from the series.

"There's nothing more exciting that you can give to us. I don't want to see you fight. I don't want to see you get divorced. Like, I think that it's time," Wendy told Bailey. "The only thing then is what will you do for a paycheck? But I was thinking, 'This is still a model, just like Christie Brinkley!' You can model."

"I love The Real Housewives of Atlanta," Cynthia says in response. "This platform has been amazing. I have an amazing relationship with the network. Bravo has been good to me."

"Here's the thing," she continued, "nobody really wants to be fired. I mean, my first job was Taco Bell. I wouldn't want to be fired from there. I would want the option to leave if I wanted to go. God's will, not my will, will be done. I have had an amazing run. It's been 11 amazing years as a consistent peach-holder."

When asked who should get fired from the show, Bailey said, "The person who wants me to be fired all the time, who actually isn't even on the show anymore. Her name rhymes with 'meany.'"

Bailey is clearly referring to NeNe Leakes, who left the show last year. Cynthia also shared that she believes that Leakes is the person that should never return to the series.

Meanwhile, sources told ET that Cynthia "is not sure where these firing rumors came from" and notes that, though they "pop up every year."

Some fans have pointed out that Cynthia removed the show's hashtag from her Instagram bio, but the source says it hasn’t been there for a long time.

The source adds that it would be "weird" to let go of Cynthia ahead of season 14, seeing as she’ll appear in the Real Housewives vacation mash-up series, which is set to premiere on Peacock.
