Janet Roach Admits She “Really” Misses Chyka Keebaugh, Gina Liano, Lydia Schiavello And Pettifleur Berenger On ‘RHOMelbourne’; Says “You Don’t Know What You Have Till It’s Gone”

Janet Roach admits she misses her former Real Housewives of Melbourne co-stars Chyka KeebaughGina Liano, Lydia Schiavello, and Pettifluer Berenger as she continues to film the upcoming fifth season of the Foxtel hit reality series.

Roach shared a throwback photo of herself with Keebaugh and Jackie Gillies when the three came to NYC to promote RHOMelbourne when it used to air on Bravo. She captioned the post, "How things change. It’s hard to believe Jackie, Chyka and I were featured on the big screen at Times Square New York. That was 2015. Jackie is pregnant now and our BF Chyka doesn’t do the Real Housewives anymore. I do miss her. X"

Keebaugh responded to Janet's post, writing, "Oh Janet.. that’s such a beautiful message ! How much fun did we have in that trip! Just the best time ever ! Sending you a great big ❤️😘"

In the comment section of the post, a user asked Roach, "Do you miss Gina and Lydia too"

Roach replied, "I really do, you don’t know what you have till it’s gone."

After another user begged Keebaugh to come back to the series, Janet replied, "I ask her to come back also. I Miss her so much. But, you never know. Don’t forget to watch this season, you might get a surprise. Xx."

Meanwhile, Janet also admitted that she missed Berenger on the series despite always feuding on the show when Pettifleur was part of the cast.

After Berenger shared a glamour selfie via her Instagram page, Roach wrote in the comment section, "OMG Miss Pettifluer. I miss you more than you can know right now. Please come back xxx"

To which Pettifluer replied, "Fly the HW flag for us Janet. ❤️❤️❤️."

If you recall, Gamble Breaux, Gina Liano, Lydia Schiavello, Janet Roach were originally scheduled to return along with new cast members Anjali Rao, Cherry Dipietrantonio, and Kyla Kirkpatrick when Foxtel announced the Season 5 lineup in February 2020.

However, due to the coronavirus pandemic, the series was put on hold for over a year. Now, the NEW cast for Season 5 was revealed on April 15, 2021.

The new lineup consists of Breaux, Roach, Rao, Dipietrantonio, and Kirkpatrick. They will be joined by new cast member Simone Elliott and in a shocking twist, original cast member Jackie Gillies is returning to the series after originally quitting last year. In May 2021, Gillies confirmed that she's pregnant as she and her husband Ben are expecting twins after undergoing IVF.

Both Lydia and Gina addressed their exits in a lengthy statement via Instagram after Foxtel unveiled the official Season 5 cast.

"A big congratulations  to the cast of The Real Housewives of Melbourne season 5!!! How exciting and welcome to the 4 newbies," Liano wrote. I will miss you all and look forward to watching you in season 5!!!"

"Thank you to Foxtel and matchbox pictures for a wonderful 4 seasons and for your well wishes as I step back from the show," she continued. "An extra big thank you to all my gorgeous followers who have travelled through the last 4 glorious seasons of #RHOMelbourne with me and have made it the most enjoyable ride."

Gina added, "I have loved it and am eternally grateful for all your love and support ❤️ Sending lots of love to you all always 😘 #excitingtimesahead 🍾🥂💃🏻 Love Gina xxxx 💋."

As for Lydia, she wrote, "The last four seasons have truly been an extraordinary journey, incredibly entertaining and good fun but with much consideration, I have made the personal decision to step away from RHOMelbourne. I love the show, I love the girls and all the people involved from Foxtel to the production house Matchbox, however the changes of this world caused me to pause and re-evaluate my life. "Sharing my personal life with you and in Lydia’s kitchen together with Mr Figaro has brought me tremendous joy."

"I will miss the camaraderie the interaction with viewers and the challenges that my fellow cast members presented. I look forward to spending quality time with my husband, family and friends."

Lydia also thanked Brian Walsh, Foxtel's executive director of television, "I want to thank Brian Walsh for the incredible opportunity and his unrelenting support."

She also thanked the fans for all their love and support. "MY FANS for all their love and support. We have cried and laughed together THANK YOU for your care kindness and heartfelt messages for the last 9 years I could not have done it without YOU. My achievements, determination and passion have been with your support. I will always be grateful, I will always be connected to you."

Schiavello added, "Thanks to all the behind the scenes: camera crew, sound crew, art director, runners, publicity, photographers, stylists and most of all my hair and make up team thank you. X
I wish Season 5 ladies all the best. ❤️"

In April 2021, Foxtel's executive director of television Brian Walsh revealed the real reason why Liano decided to quit the series. Walsh said that in the past year of lockdowns and the COVID pandemic, Liano reevaluated her life as she rediscovered her passion for law.

"It gave her an opportunity to re-evaluate and rediscover her love of practicing law and she conducted a lot of her business virtually last year and she rekindled that great deep affection she has for her profession," he told The Daily Telegraph

Brian says that Gina has moved from Melbourne to Sorrento to begin a new life.

Walsh continued, "She said to me you know what Brian, I love the Real Housewives and I had so much fun on the show but I love work more. I love what I do in my professional life and this journey for me is important. I just don't feel I'm right to come back to the show and want to put all my focus and energy into law."

The Real Housewives of Melbourne is set to return later this year on Foxtel's Arena FOX.
