Braunwyn Windham-Burke Explains Why She Thinks It’s ‘Weird’ That Emily Simpson Wasn’t Fired From ‘RHOC’ — Emily Fires Back; “Says “Fraudwayn Can Run Her Mouth All She Wants… But She’s Still Fired And Still Unlikable”

Braunwyn Windham-Burke sounds off about her being fired from The Real Housewives of Orange County while throwing some shade at former cast member Emily Simpson.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the mother-of-seven revealed that she found it “weird” that Simpson was still a part of the cast following her firing from the show.

"Honestly, I think it's weird," Braunwyn says of who didn’t get fired. "Gina, I get. Gina was very, like, whatever. Emily, I think Tamra Judge said it best, it's like watching paint dry. I agree. I know her in real life and I'm like, you were Eeyore. And then Shannon, I think Shannon's good, because you get the older, long-term viewers, that's good for bringing them back. I think the dynamics with the new and the old will be interesting. Heather's a great casting decision. The idea of Heather and Gina is going to be weird. It's going to be interesting."

Braunwyn says producers "should have gone further" with the changes. "If you're going to recast, and you're going to go the direction of -- and I know the new cast members -- so if you're going that direction, I just think that it's going to be an interesting dynamic," she remarks. "You have young, hot, rich, beautiful, cool, liberal. And then conservative Trump supporters. It's going to be an interesting dynamic."

Following Windham-Burke's diss, Emily fired back. During a recent Q&A session, Simpson slammed Braunwyn for hinting that she should have been fired from the series.

“Fraudwyn can run her mouth all she wants… but she’s still fired and still unlikeable,” Emily said via Instagram Story, according to Reality Blurb, who captured and shared the post.

The news comes after it was revealed earlier this month that Windham-Burke along with Kelly Dodd, and Elizabeth Lyn Vargas were not asked to return to RHOC for the show's upcoming Season 16. According to reports, Bravo decided not to renew their contracts.

A spokesperson confirmed the news to Variety about Windhand-Burke, Lyn Vargas, and Dodd’s departures.

Shannon Storms Beador, Gina Kirschenheiter, and Simpson are all returning for Season 16. They will be joined by former Housewife Heather Dubrow, who originally left the series in 2017 after five seasons. Variety added that one or two new women will also join the cast.

However, it was reported that Braunwyn’s best friend Noella Bergener is joining the cast for Season 16 after Windham-Burke’s firing. “Noella is coming on board as a cast member for the new season, though Braunwyn will not be returning,” a source told The Sun. “They tested her out before the firing decisions were made. She has good chemistry with other potential new cast members.”
