Andy Cohen is questioning former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills friend Dana Wilkey and Real Housewives of New Jersey alum Danielle Staub were asked to weigh in Erika Girardi and Tom Girardi’s legal drama in the ABC News special, The Housewife and the Hustler.
In the Hulu documentary, experts questioned how much Erika knew about the allegations that the disgraced attorney, Tom Girardi, stole money from clients.
“I will say the idea that Danielle Staub and Dana Wilkey are the experts in this documentary about Erika is questionable at best. So I kind of realized I wasn’t gonna learn anything new from them about Erika,” he said on the June 16 episode of SiriusXM’s “Andy Cohen Live,” according to Page Six. “The Tom Girardi stories continue to be deeply disturbing, and we have to see how this plays out.”
Cohen also assured that the documentary would likely not jeopardize The Pretty Mess singer’s future on RHOBH.
“I don’t think that documentary will affect her future on the show,” he told a curious caller on-air.
Following Cohen’s comments and shade towards Wilkey and Staub, Dana clapped back and revealed why she was asked to share her thoughts on the controversial legal scandal.
“So I just got a call from my friend, and I guess Andy just went on Radio Andy and said that Erika is not being fired - I dunno, like I don't think anyone thought that Andy would fire Erika because, you know, he wants to make money off her - what is really interesting is he said that I wasn't a credible source,” she said in the clip via her Instagram. “And I have just one thing to say to that Andy and that is why don't you listen to my podcast, I'm probably more credible than you at this point.”
In the caption of the post, Dana continued to throw shade at Andy. She wrote, “I have this to say to @radioandysxm Don’t take out your anger on me because @abcnetwork beat you to the punch…It’s petty. #bravo #housewifeandthehustler #rhobh #rhobh💎 #igtv #dishingdramadana”
Wilkey then went to Twitter to fire back at haters who slammed her appearance on the ABC News doc. Wilkey shared a clip along with the list as to why she’s a credible expert to be asked to weigh in on the Girardi’s legal scandal.
Her list includes the following:
1. Interwied Jay Edelson, Matt Hamilton, and Ronald Richardson the pod.
2. Broke the story about Erika leaving Tom
3. Spoke to several victims of Tom
4. Posted and explained all pertinent legal filings and Tom's evil voice messages to victims from the beginning.
5. I'm a gossip expert
6. ABC producer fan of Dishing Drama Dana
In the short clip, Dana said: “Ok, so I had a bunch of people asked me about my credibility because of what Andy said so I'm gonna post a side with why ABC chose me and it had very little to do with the fact that I was on RHOBH.”
