Sutton Stracke Apologizes To Crystal Kung Minkoff For Racial Stereotypes Fight!

Sutton Stracke has issued a public apology to Crystal Kung Minkoff for comparing Asian stereotyping to being called a redneck during the latest episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

The apology came Thursday, after a heated exchange between the two was featured on Wednesday night’s episode of the Bravo hit reality series.

“Despite Crystal and my strained relationship at the time, it was disrespectful to interrupt her and not listen to her express her truth,” Stracke wrote in an Instagram post. “My life is blessed by the diversity of my relationships and I am committed to become a better listener to understand the painful realities experienced by people of color. I am sorry. I will do better and be better,” she added.

As of Thursday afternoon, Minkoff had not responded to Stracke’s apology.

The fight between the two took place during a cast trip to Lake Tahoe last year while filming.

It all began when Kyle Richards was recounting a past argument she got into with her black co-star Garcelle Beauvais and how she didn’t realize she was stereotyping until the pair sat down to talk about it.

Minkoff responded, “As someone who’s not white, when it hits you from stereotypes it can be so painful that you can’t see anything else.”

She added, “I’ve had friends who have said things to me — Asian comments and stuff like that —”

Stracke then cut Minkoff off and said that she was trying to break the stereotypes around being a redneck from the South, as she grew up in Georgia.

“Do you wanna talk about when I see dumbass rednecks on the TV and that’s supposed to be me?” Stracke exclaimed, according to Page Six. “And that’s supposed to be me? I also have a stereotype but I don’t want to bring it up!”

Minkoff called Stracke’s comments “insane.”

Their feud will continue to play out on the next episode of the Bravo hit reality series.
