Jackie Goldschneider recently revealed that she wants the current cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey to return for the show’s upcoming twelfth season but shared that she would like to see new cast members added to the show — with a certain condition.
“We need new energy. I think that Teresa is at her best when she’s going at it with somebody and it’s can’t just be me. So I think we definitely need somebody to come in who’s not Teresa or Jennifer’s friend,” she told Access Hollywood, according to a report by Reality Tea.
Jackie added that she wouldn’t mind a new friend joining the cast. “The more energy the better,” she said. “And this cast is so amazing, but I don’t want it to get stale. And I don’t want it to be made-up things, either.”
In February 2021, Goldschneider admitted that she would like to have original cast member Caroline Manzo return to the series.
“I feel like everybody on this cast — and it’s the best cast ever — but everybody has some sort of allegiance to Teresa (Giudice). They’re either a family member or friends from childhood, so nobody goes up against her except me,” Jackie told the HollywoodLife at that time. “I have no fear of going up against her, but I feel like the old school Jersey girls stood their ground. And Caroline, especially, I would love to have her back. I’ve never met her. I’ve never even spoken to her. But, I’ve been a fan since day one. So I like Caroline, I wouldn’t mind that at all.”
Jackie and Teresa clashed in the past but after making up last season, the two feuded throughout the current season of the Bravo hit reality series after Teresa revealed she heard Jackie’s husband was cheating on her.
As previously reported, Teresa alleged that Jackie’s husband, Evan Goldschneider, was unfaithful to her with someone at his gym during the Wednesday, February 17, premiere. After Goldschneider learned that Giudice was making these claims about Evan at his birthday party, Jackie asked Teresa to admit that she was lying.
Things between the two got more intense and heated when Jackie compared the cheating claims about Evan to rumors that Teresa’s eldest daughter, Gia Giudice, “snorts coke in the bathroom” at parties. Teresa stormed off and called Goldschneider the ‘c-word’ multiple times.
Goldschneider notes that she only used Gia as an analogy. “I wasn’t starting a rumor about Gia. I was giving an analogy,” Jackie told Us Weekly. “I think that like almost everyone will say that that’s an analogy and the truth is that there’s no one else in Teresa’s life that I can make her understand. When you say something about someone you love, whether or not it’s true, it hurts, you know? So, I don’t regret that because if I was saying something nasty about Gia, then I would regret it. But I was giving an analogy, which it was pretty clear to almost everyone.”
“When it comes to my family, I will never be OK with somebody trying to come between us. So, I’ll never have a thick skin when it comes to my family,” she added. “The fact that anybody could think that you could do something that potentially destroys a family with four young children, and then just be like, ‘Who cares’ to me? There’s no show I could be on long enough that that would ever happen.”
After the episode aired, Gia reposted a lengthy statement from her mother’s business manager after Jackie dragged her into her fight with Teresa.
“Gia is a wonderful, smart, strong and beautiful human being and what was done to her tonight was wrong on so many levels. For a grown ass ‘I’m so so smart I’m lawyer’ woman to bring Gia’s name into an argument & place an accusation with such a weighted consequence is inconceivable,” Appian Entertainment’s Karianne Fischbach wrote on Wednesday, February 17. “I cannot fathom what would [possess] someone to create a false narrative that could have severe consequences for the innocent party involved, a 19-year-old at the time who was in no way involved in anything. what the cast members choose to do to each other is the nature of the reality TV beast, this was to [SIC] far.”
The statement ended with, “I hope apologies are made & I hope family sticks together on this one. I’d have a hard time support friend who did that to my niece, #justsayin.”
