Details On Porsha Williams’ Engagement Ring From Simon Guobadia Revealed!

Details about Porsha Williams' engagement ring have been revealed. If you recall, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star shocked viewers when she announced her romance and engagement to her co-star Falynn Guobadia's estranged husband, Simon Guobadia.

The stunning diamond appears to feature a 12 to 15 carat emerald cut stone, set in a classic four prong setting with a micro pavé band, Andrew Brown, CEO of WP Diamonds, told Page Six Style.

“Assuming the diamond is a high color and clarity, like F VVS (and it looks like it could be, from the photo on Simon’s Instagram!), a ring like this would be $1-1.25 million at retail,” he said.

However, it’s hard to know the exact specifications of Williams’ newest engagement ring.

“Due to the gem’s yellowish hue, I’d guess its color to be around the H-J range. Emerald cut diamonds require high clarity to be eye clean, especially at this size,” Ajay Anand, CEO of Rare Carat, concluded, estimating the weight to fall closer to 12 carats. “Considering that, I’d guess this is no lower than a VS1. All said, I think this ring probably cost around $750,000 depending on its exact specs.”

Mike Fried, CEO of The Diamond Pro, agreed with the million-dollar evaluation, saying, “There’s no doubt that Simon Guobadia went all out for Porsha. Her ring is absolutely stunning and is a testament to their relationship — and their sense of style.”

Meanwhile, Kathryn Money from Brilliant Earth told Us Weekly that the bauble “appears to feature a 10 to 15-carat emerald cut diamond set on a diamond adorned white gold or platinum band.”

As for the price tag? Depending on quality, it likely costs “approximately $500,000 to $1.25 million.”

On Monday, May 10, Williams confirmed her romance with Simon via a lengthy Instagram post. “Our relationship began a month ago — yes we are crazy in love,” she wrote. “I know it’s fast but we are living life each day to its fullest. I choose happiness every morning and every night. Tuning out all negative energy and only focused on positive wishes. He makes me so happy and to me, that is what matters most.”

Williams stated she had “nothing” to do Simon’s divorce from Falynn, as he had filed for divorce in January — months before he began seeing Williams.

“For all of you that need facts, I get the optics but Simon filed for divorce from a previous marriage in January. I had nothing to do with their divorce filing. That’s between the two of them,” she continued. “Falynn and I are not friends, and Simon’s divorce has been settled. Our relationship is a positive, loving step forward in everybody’s lives.”

“Simon and Dennis are committed to being respectful and supportive of my happiness in this situation, as well as being the best co-parents they can be to baby PJ. Two black men stepping up and being amazing people-let’s praise them!!!!” she added. “It’s truly a beautiful moment in my life & we cannot wait to spend the rest of our lives together. xoxo P #LoveWins”

A few hours later, Simon announced the pair’s engagement via Instagram. “I’d like to seize this opportunity to thank every well wisher of Porsha and I, whether via phone, text or DM,” he wrote early on Tuesday, May 11. “You affirm my [belief] that finding love is possible for everyone who genuinely seeks one. Getting married again was never a question in my mind, but when. Did not expect to be blessed with a mate so soon. The interesting thing about life is that it is an individual journey.”

“Porsha and I, with the support of our loved ones have chosen to travel together as one and spread love and positivity to our community which is in desperate need of positive and healthy images of the best versions of ourselves. We travel this road not lightly considering we have being in relationships that have thought us to want and do better for ourselves,” he continued. “I asked her to marry me because we checked ALL of each other’s boxes, and then some. We have done the individual work to sustain a healthy relationship, and I stand next to her, proud that we found each other.”

He added, “What we have is what we wish every single one of you out there - happiness. So when I asked...she said yes. That is ALL that mattered. Thank you again for your love and support. Truly appreciated 🙏🏾 #lovewins”

According to PEOPLE, the Guobadias’ divorce hasn’t been finalized but they did reach a settlement agreement.

Falynn announced her split from Simon just last month. “After two years of marriage and five years of friendship, Simon and I have made the difficult decision to go our separate ways,” she wrote on April 22. “We are deeply thankful for the impact we have made in each other’s lives, as well as the bonds formed with each other’s children. This mutual decision was not made lightly, and despite our current willingness to be transparent, we only ask our friends and supporters to be respectful of our privacy as our family gets through this very difficult period.”

The couple wed in 2019 after three years of dating. Falynn is mom to three children from a previous relationship, while Simon is dad to five kids.
