D’Andra Simmons is coming to Tiffany Moon’s defense after the Real Housewives of Dallas newbie founds herself in a Twitter drama over racism with Kameron Westcott and her family.
Simmons gushed about her friendship with her ‘little sister’ Moon. She shared a photo of the two during the RHOD Season 5 finale and caption the post, “Sisters for life! Nothing will break the beautiful bond we have together! ❤️ #TiffAndra #LittleSis #BigSis”
After a user asked Simmons to share her thoughts on Kameron coming for Moon during Part 2 of the RHOD Season 5 reunion, D’Andra did not hold back and made it clear that she is on Tiffany's side.
D’Andra wrote, “I’m blocked by Kameron. Trust me my voice and opinion has been loud and clear since Day ONE! #TeamTiffany”
Simmons then came to Moon's defense after the Westcotts came after her on Twitter following reunion drama with Kameron.
“I hope something is done too. I can not believe anyone would tag someone’s place of work. I am beyond disturbed by their actions!” she tweeted.
Simmons added that she was #TeamTiffany when a fan asked her to weigh in on Kam and Tiffany's drama.
D’Andra wrote, “I stand with Tiffany. Simple as that.”
As previously reported, shortly after part two of the season 5 reunion of RHOD aired, Moon and co-star Kameron Westcott had a heated back and forth argument, involving accusations of racism from each of the women.
Westcott’s family has since been accused of tweeting, and in some cases deleting, offensive comments directly aimed at the 36-year-old anesthesiologist. One such message, which has since been deleted, claimed that anti-racism was a form of racism.
Tiffany released a statement via her lawyer following her unfortunate social media exchange with the Westcotts.
“The insinuations the Westcotts made in those tweets are reckless, defamatory and appalling,” the physician’s lawyer, Andrew Brettler of Lavely and Singer, said in a statement to Variety on Friday, May 14. “Dr. Moon is a professional in every sense of the word and is deserving of the excellent reputation that she’s earned as a physician and as a hard working mother. These attacks on her character will not be tolerated. The Westcotts would be well advised to keep mentions of Dr. Moon out of their social media feeds.”
After Variety shared Dr. Tiffany’s statement, Bravo released a statement of their own via the network’s official Instagram account.
“Bravo strongly supports the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. Anti-racism, is, in fact, not a form of racism and the network stands by Dr. Tiffany Moon and her advocacy against racism and violence.”
“Thank you so much for your support,” Moon wrote in the comment section of the network’s post, along with three red heart emoji.
