Kgomotso Ndungane Confirms She’s Leaving ‘The Real Housewives Of Durban’ After One Season! Plus, Is Kgomotso Attending The Show’s Reunion Special?

Kgomotso Ndungane confirms that she will not return to the Real Housewives of Durban next season.

“The season has come to an end and everyone is leaving to continue with their other commitments,” she told TRUELOVE. “It was great to be part of the show, meeting all the ladies and the production team as whole. It’s been a great experience. The plan for me was always to do one season and move on to something else.”

The finale episode of the first season aired last week. Many viewers accused Ayanda Mcwane and LaConco of being tribalistic after they had made comments about being disrespected by a “seTswana” speaking Kgomotso while they were Zulu.

Kgomotso says that she disagrees with her co-stars' sentiments and found their [Ayanda and Lancoco’s] behavior shocking.

“I think that everyone is entitled to their opinion, and for me, it was a total shock to hear what the tribalistic ladies had to say behind closed doors versus how they interacted with me when the cameras were rolling. When they were not behind closed doors, it seemed like we were all a team who made mistakes when mistakes happened, but ultimately had respect for humanity and could co-exist without prejudice,” Kgmotso said.

“I grew up in an environment and family were being antagonistic towards other cultures or tribes was not something we were taught. I’ve lived most of my life in Metropolitan areas where I mixed and continue to mix (in KZN) with different nationalities, cultures, and ethnic groups,” she told TRUELOVE. “So, when you realize that your colleagues are not accepting of you because of being different, it hurts on a human level and that’s where it stops being entertainment for me. It gets personal.”

Kgomotso also did not confirm or deny the rumors that she will not attend the upcoming two-part reunion. “I am still very much part of the production team as a cast member and I think we will need to wait and see what surprises the team has in store for us and viewers,” she teased.

However, Phil Mphela, who is a reliable entertainment journalist, confirmed via Twitter that Ndungane will not be attending the reunion taping, which will be hosted by radio host and TV personality Majota “Phat Joe” Khambule.

He tweeted, “ICYMI: #RHODurban star Kgomotso Ndungane will not be in the show’s reunion special”
