Brittany Cartwright gave birth to her and Jax Taylor’s first child on Monday, April 12. The former Vanderump Rules stars shared the happy news with their followers via Instagram.
“Yesterday, April 12th at 1:51pm, our lives changed forever in the absolute best way possible. Our beautiful son Cruz Michael Cauchi was born and we have never been more in love,” Cartwright wrote. “He is the most precious gift and I am so blessed to be his Mommy. 💙 We are soooooo so happy, he is a dream come true!! 😭🥰💙- Both Mommy & Baby are doing great!”
Jax for his part shared a post of his own while sharing the same photo that his wife used on her post.
He wrote, “Yesterday April 12, at 1:51pm our lives changed forever, we welcomed Cruz Michael Cauchi into the world. I’ve never in my life thought it was going to be like this.. it’s 10000 times better. Dad mode just kicks in. I don’t think I have ever been as happy as I am right now, everything else in life seems so insignificant now.”
He continued, “I am crying just writing this message. I have the most beautiful son a man could ask for, he’s an absolute blessing from god. I just want to say how absolutely amazing my wife has been through this whole process, it has not been an easy pregnancy for her but she did an absolute amazing job all the way till the end.”
He added, “I have always been in awwh of Brittany but I fell in love with her all over again. She is our families rock. We are so in love 💜✝️ (Shout out to our amazing doctor OB @jasonrothbart and the amazing staff @cedarssinai they went above and beyond for us and made everything so easy).”
added with a post of his own: “So … I am gonna be a dad.”
Later that same month, the couple revealed the sex of their little one with blue confetti during their gender reveal party.
In December 200, the couple announced that they were leaving the Bravo hit reality series. The couple shared identical statements upon confirming that they were leaving Vanderpump Rules, calling their time on the series “some of the most challenging, rewarding and fulfilling years” of their lives. “We are excited to take this time to focus on our growing family and share with you our new endeavors. @bravotv, @evolutionusa and our Vanderpump castmates will always remain close to our hearts,” they wrote. “Thank you to all the fans who have shared our journey with us and supported us through everything. We love you.”
However, fans noticed the similarities in the couple’s announcements — and Cartwright hinted that they weren’t given the freedom to construct their own departures.
“I’m tired of seeing this comment. Do you guys really truly think we got to write whatever we wanted?” she replied to one Instagram user, sparking speculation that the network had a hand in crafting their statements.
Taylor previously told disappointed fans that it “doesn’t make sense” for him and his wife to be on the series anymore. “I am 41 with a baby on the way … was the best choice for my whole family,” he said on Friday.
