RHOMelbourne Newbies Anjali Rao, Cherry Dipietrantonio And Kyla Kirkpatrick Recently Reunited And Teased Show’s Return; Kyla Says “Season 5 Is On Its Way And I’m Sure There Will Be Lots Of Twists And Turns”

Last month, Janet Roach teased that The Real Housewives of Melbourne is coming back "very soon" after the series was put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic shortly after Foxtel renewed the show for a fifth season.

Now, new cast members Anjali Rao, Cherry Dipietrantonio, and Kyla Kirkpatrick recently reunited.

Kirkpatrick, who is known as the Champagne Dame, shared a photo of herself hanging out with Rao and Dipietrantonio where she teased about the show's potential return.

She captioned the post, "Great to see my gorgeous girls last night. Not long now until filming starts after a big hiatus. RHOM Season 5 is on its way and I'm sure there will be lots of twists and turns. Not really something you can prepare for! Whose going to tune in and follow our journey? 🙋‍♀️

Kirkpatrick then shared a selfie along with Rao via her Instagram Story, which she captioned, "Wifey."

In February 2020, Foxtel unveiled the official lineup for the upcoming new season of The Real Housewives of Melbourne. Anjali Rao, Kyla Kirkpatrick, and Cherry Dipietrantonio have officially joined the cast for Season 5. They will be joined by returning cast members Gamble Breaux, Gina Liano, Janet Roach, and Lydia Schiavello.

Foxtel’s Group General Manager, Lifestyle said: ‘The Real Housewives of Melbourne is our most loved reality program and our audience has been literally begging for us to bring it back. We couldn’t do that without shaking things up and adding a bit of spice to the fun. These are strong, successful women, and we love having a window into their lives. This is going to be viewing you can really sink your heels into...’

Matchbox Pictures Managing Director, Alastair McKinnon said: ‘The arrival of three sensational new Housewives promises to bring a new season full of all the explosive drama, scandal and high-flying antics that audiences all over the world have come to love. The wait is almost over!’

The 10-part one-hour series is executive-produced by Lisa Potasz, Pip Rubira and Dan Munday for Matchbox Pictures, in conjunction with Foxtel and will air on Foxtel’s Arena at a date to be announced.

However, in March 2020, the network confirmed that production was put on hold due to COVID-19 pandemic.

But in June 2020,  Roach told Ticker TV's Jumpstart that filming was scheduled to resume in July, but the Foxtel hit reality series has now been pushed back until January 2021, according to The Daily Mail.

"We were supposed to start filming the first week of July - I had all my summer wardrobe ready!" she told hosts Alana Maclean and Benjamin Norris. "Foxtel have decided that they're not going to start again until January," she added.
