Dolores Catania Admits She Has No Regrets About Joining The Real Housewives Of New Jersey!

Dolores Catania explains why she has no regrets about joining The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

“I have a blueprint for life. I have my principles and I have morals and values that I don’t deviate from, even if it’s not the popular decision,” she told Page Six. “And then I can’t regret it. It’s not always the easiest, but I’ve never regretted doing what I thought was right.”

Catania joined the Bravo hit reality series in its seventh season in 2016. During the interview, Catania opened up about the drama that Jennifer Aydin found herself during the current season of RHONJ as Teresa Giudice's realtor informed her that Melissa Gorga's husband, Joe, owes her husband thousands of dollars from his Growing with Gorga event.

Catania pushed Aydin to let Gorga in on what she had heard. “Once it’s put in your lap, now you have to do something about it,” Dolores said.

“Life is like that,” she added. “Things will fall in your lap and you have to decide — your true character is how you decide how to handle it. We’re all faced with that all the time. So if Jennifer didn’t handle it, I would have, because now I know — now it’s my information. And whether it’s going to be ‘kill the messenger’ or not, I still have to do what I think is right.”

Dolores was originally asked to join the series during the first season. However, due to her life back in the day, she turned down the offer. Now, Dolores shared that she’s fine with having joined the show later in its run, after making cameo appearances in the earlier seasons.

“I have so much more to offer now,” she said. “I’ve experienced life in so many different ways, and I like being able to share that with younger girls who can maybe learn from my mistakes or my stories or my experiences.”

“Every single fight is hard. It’s hard to watch because it’s real. It’s not scripted,” she told Page Six. “We’re so close and we go through so much together and the stress of it — it’s not easy. A lot of people are like, ‘Oh, I want to be a ‘Housewife.” But, you know, it’s not what you think it is. I wouldn’t trade it for anything, but it’s not the easiest job to do.”
