Caroline Manzo Says Jackie Goldschneider Was Wrong To Drag Teresa Giudice’s Daughter Gia Into Their ‘RHONJ’ Fight; Says “Two Wrongs Don’t Make A Right”

Caroline Manzo is sharing her thoughts on the drama between Teresa Giudice and Jackie Goldschneider, which is playing out on the current season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

“I don’t know what would possess [Teresa] to say something like that. I don’t care how much you dislike someone,” Manzo told Us Weekly.

While Manzo said the argument was “possibly” encouraged by producers, she also noted that Teresa still should have known “what’s right and what’s wrong.” However, she does believe that Jackie is also in the wrong.

“Guess what? Two wrongs don’t make a right,” the mother-of-three added. “There are plenty of analogies you could have chosen without bringing Gia into it. Gia — from what I’ve seen and what I have known from that kid, historically — is a great kid. She is wise beyond her years. … Why would you come back with something like that to someone that’s not there to defend herself, to someone who’s not involved in anything, and to someone who’s only 20 years old.”

She continued, “This is a kid that’s in college, that’s going out into the workforce, and that lives forever. You’ll Google ‘Gia Giudice’ and that comment will come up,” Manzo said. “Whether she’s guilty or not of it, she becomes suspect of it.”

Manzo hoped that Teresa and Jackie didn’t abandon their “dignity” or “integrity” in their fight.

“They both have to be responsible for what they said and did,” Caroline told Us Weekly. “Shame on both of them!”

If you recall, Teresa claimed she heard Evan Goldschneider is being unfaithful to his wife. Jackie subsequently compared the rumors to telling people Gia does “coke in the bathroom” at parties.

Following the episode, Gia broke her silence on Twitter. She wrote, “Saying it was an analogy is making it excusable, it’s not. My character is now being questioned. My name was used to make a point. No one should be used in that way, I am suffering the consequences for such an outlandish and untrue statement. While her marriage is happy & in tact.”

Dina Manzo sent her support to the Giudices and demanded Goldschneider to make a public apology to Gia. “I did NOT watch, but I totally agree,” Manzo wrote. “A Grown woman should not use that analogy about a minor EVER, especially about our beautiful @_giaguidice. Jackie needs to make a public apology immediately.”

Jackie, for her part, insists that she was “wasn’t starting a rumor about Gia.”

She previously told Us Weekly, “I was giving an analogy. I think that almost everyone will say that that’s an analogy and the truth is that there’s no one else in Teresa’s life that I can make her understand. When you say something about someone you love, whether or not it’s true, it hurts, you know? So, I don’t regret that because if I was saying something nasty about Gia, then I would regret it. But I was giving an analogy, which it was pretty clear to almost everyone.”
