Bethenny Frankel Apologizes After Facing Backlash On Social Media By Fans And Celebrities For Dissing Meghan Markle!

Bethenny Frankel got slammed on social media over the weekend for dissing Meghan Markle ahead of the former actress’ tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey alongside Prince Harry on Sunday, March 7.

The Real Housewives of New York City alum slammed Markle in a reply to a Twitter user who suggested she was treated unfairly in the media and within the palace.

“Cry me a river,” Frankel tweeted, according to Us Weekly. “The plight of being a game show host, fairly unknown actress, to suffering in a palace, w tiaras & 7 figure weddings for TWO WHOLE YEARS to being a household name.”

After dissing Markle, she had a different message for Prince Harry. “I 100 give Harry a break,” she wrote. “This isn’t the way to generate less press & cannot be filed under the guise of wanting privacy to prevent a repeat of previous events. If you hate me for saying it here don’t listen to my podcast #justbwithbethenny it’s littered with my opinion.”

Following her controversial tweets, Frankel got slammed by many celebrities, who came in defense of Markel.

Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause slammed Frankel. She tweeted, “Not a white housewife comparing her struggle to Meghan’s. A woman of color joining the Royal Family. It’s the delusion for me,” Stause tweeted to Frankel, 50. “Everyone is working overtime trying to silence her. Let us hear what she has to say!”

Stause added, Too bad there isn't a whole aristocracy trying to silence you, because you could have left this one in the drafts.”

The Real co-host, Loni Love also called out Frankel via Twitter.

Loni tweeted to Frankel, “Lawwd Bethenny racism is a lot different than your lucky life… and it’s Women’s History Month .. let the Sister tell her story. You haven’t even heard it yet!!!”

ET correspondent Nischelle Turner chimed in defense of Markel and had a few choices of words to say about Frankel.

She tweeted, “The hilarity of it is that B did go to the press to tell her story of her “divorce from hell”, how her ex treated her, her success story etc. in an effort to get people to feel for what she’s gone through. That’s why I don’t understand her POV on this at all!” she tweeted.

RuPaul's Drag Race alum Tatianna also slammed the former Bravo reality star via social media.

Tatianna tweeted, “Girl I love you but shut the f**k up.”

However, Frankel got slammed the most by television host Nina Parker and comedian Jessica Kirson.

Parker tweeted, “That's how we felt about you every time you cried about your divorce on camera from your penthouse, kettle.”

She continued, “I’m not letting up on sh*t. She has MULTIPLE incidents where she has made tone deaf comments, specifically about Black Women. You keep your blinders on if you want to. I’m here to speak up for Black women. Goodnight.”

Meanwhile, standup comedian Jessica Kirson accused Frankel of treating her unkindly several years ago when she worked as an off-camera comedian tasked with hyping up the studio audiences of the Skinnygirl mogul's short-lived syndicated talk show Bethenny.

“I was the warm up comic on your failed morning talk show and you were a total bitch to me,” Kirson tweeted at Bethenny on Sunday, March 7. “For months you never said hello and you ordered me around like a dog. One day I walked off set because I had enough of your s--t. Have a great day!”

After the tell-all interview aired on CBS, Frankel issued a public apology for the comments she made earlier that day about Markel.

She tweeted, “I watched M & H sit down. Emotional distress & racism must feel suffocating & powerless,” Frankel wrote. “I’m a polarizing, unfiltered (often to a fault) flawed person w a voice. When I heard of the interview, during a pandemic, it felt like a surprising choice. I’m sorry if it hurt or offended you.”

However, not everyone was here to accept Frankel's apology. Former Vanderpump Rules star Faith Stowers replied to Frankel's apology by adding a rolling eyes emoji.
