LaToya Ali Publicly Apologizes After Backlash For Resurfaced Anti-Black YouTube Video — Falynn Guobadia And Drew Sidora React!

LaToya Ali is under fire over her past anti-black comments she made on a resurfaced video from her YouTube channel.

While LaToya removed the full video from her YouTube account, which was titled “STORYTIME: THE TIME I BEAT UP MY BEST FRIEND,” online users already shared a clip of the most questionable part of the video, which has gone viral on social media.

In the now-deleted clip, Ali says the following: “This girl is super ghetto,” Ali began. “She has huge Donkey Kong lips. Y’all just close your eyes. Just Imagine a face with two pillowcases as lips. Now open your eyes. She wore single braids and every time she would swing her hair, a braid would fall out. You see that braid that’s just lingering around in your neighborhood, yea it’s probably hers.”

Many users accused Ali of being a colorist and anti-black for the comments she made to describe her former friend.

LaToya addressed the topic by issuing a public apology on Friday, February 12, 2021.

“First and foremost,” Latoya’s message began, “I would like to apologize for the triggering language that I used in a video clip that surfaced from seven years ago. Despite the fact that my intent was not to cause harm or to offend black women, I did just that. I am a proud black woman and I think all black women are valid and beautiful. I was ignorant to the fact that my words were perpetuating inherent biases and anti-blackness that we as Black people deal with every day. With that said, ignorance is not an excuse. I have learned and grown exponentially since then, particularly within the last year. Those words do not reflect the woman I am today, and again I am truly sorry and sincerely apologetic for the hurt that I have caused.”

Following Ali's apology, her co-stars Falynn Guobadia and Drew Sidora shared their thoughts on social media.

Guobadia, who's been recently feuding with Ali on social media, clapped back at Ali by sharing her impressive resume and revealing that she's proud of her “BLACK” family, as a jab towards LaToya’s controversial video.

Falynn wrote, “Well since I have some time today… I own a petroleum logistics company that I started before the age of 30. I am a real estate investor. I paint abstract art. I carry a successful BLACK man’s legacy. I raise my BLACK husband’s BLACK sons. Oh and side note, my BLACK husband has big lips too. I thought a little girl with a colorist issue said something. Stay well and God bless 🙏🏾.”

Meanwhile, Drew, who's been feuding with Ali on RHOA, took to Twitter to share her thoughts on Ali's colorist video. The actress tweeted, “A leopard doesn’t change it’s spots.” She added, “You should not come for a culture and make fun of our lips and try to apologize and save your brand …”
